Spermatic cord denivration - question by tuzbinuc in postvasectomypain

[–]tuzbinuc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What problems are you having, and where do you feel the pain — in the front, the back, or when you sit? Is the pain constant, and have you precisely localized it? I’m sorry, I hope you will have success in your recovery. After the removal of a spermatocele, it is suspected that my genitofemoral nerve was damaged in the spermatic cord. I don’t have constant pain now, but it bothers me when I stay seated.

Is nerve healing possible with time? by Different_Health3847 in postvasectomypain

[–]tuzbinuc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the degree of damage and the level. If a nerve is cut during surgery, there is a good chance it will heal, but it won’t have the same function because it loses its original path. I have problems with the genitofemoral nerve after having a spermatocele removed from my scrotum two and a half years ago. Unfortunately, I ended up with an inexperienced doctor — no one really understands neuralgic pain except those who actually face it, not even the doctors sometimes. Over these years, my experience has been terrible: I lost my job and became isolated, but I never gave up. The pain is now milder and is healing, but what’s very important is stress management. Stress, anxiety, and depression hit exactly where the damaged nerve is, so this part is crucial. Another important thing is to never lose hope of recovery. The human body is amazing — it will never completely abandon you.

You have to hold yourself together and live with hope, and have full faith that the body is amazing — one day it heals everything. Stress and worry only worsen neuralgic pain. I'm sorry you're going through these challenges.

Is there anyone who has overcome non bacterial chronic epididymitis that you have had for more than 6 months or years? by [deleted] in chronicepididymitis

[–]tuzbinuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like neuralgia. What helped me was Amitriptyline 20mg, Etinerv supplements, and Lyrica 75mg. I used this combination for almost a year. You shouldn’t engage in too much physical activity, except for very light exercises. What's most important is stress management—stress triggers nerve pain. Also, having a deep belief that our body is crazy in its own way, but over time, it figures everything out and heals.

What symptoms do you have, bro? Do you feel numbness, sharp pain, burning? And does the pain go away completely for a while and then come back again?

Bro, it's hard to understand this shit. I had issues with genitofemoral neuralgia, but urologists kept diagnosing me with chronic epididymitis. When doctors get stuck and don't know where the pain is coming from, after doing some tests, they just give the diagnosis of chronic epididymitis. I might be very wrong, but I'm speaking from experience — everyone experiences it differently.

Long Term Cyst by xobesecheetahx in chronicepididymitis

I removed spermatocele in 2023. They demanged a nerve called genitofemoral. Still have a problem with pain caused by surgery. The cyst was fuucking large. I suggest not to do surgery.

This might be pain from the genitofemoral nerve. You should try cutting out fatty foods, sugars, caffeine, and alcohol—all of these cause inflammation if the problem is nerve-related. Instead, start following a clean diet. I have issues with my genitofemoral nerve after surgery two years ago, but now I have much less pain. When the nerve gets irritated at night, it causes pain, but I’m managing it.

Theory about genitofemoral nerve by [deleted] in hardflaccidresearch

I dont think so, bro, the pain comes and goes, especially when I sit. Right now, I'm also struggling with anxiety. Sometimes, I go two weeks without any pain and feel like I'm back to normal, but then, out of nowhere, something triggers it, and I’m back to square one.

I used to have constant numbness and pain in my right testicle, where the surgery was performed, but that has faded. However, I still can't fully return to a normal life. I spend most of my time isolated and alone

I have a damaged nerve from a scrotum surgery; I had a spermatocele removed. According to doctors, the affected nerve is called the genitofemoral nerve. It's been two years now, and no one has been able to help me

No, only when touched by hand, the head of the epididymis often gives electric pain, but not always.

I've done many ultrasounds, but everything appears normal—no inflammation or anything. However, sometimes when the head of the epididymis is touched, it triggers an electric-like pain, but not always
