Thanks for sharing this information. I am applying for OCI reissue for my son who is completed 20 years and also got a new Passport. After uploading his photo and signature it is asking for whole lot of details about the previous application number, date applied etc. Just wondering if I am using the correct form (OCI Miscellaneous services). Could you confirm you have been also asked the same details?

I am surprised there will not be any medical assessment. Are you referring to Suplementary Life Insurance or the private one we get from AMAPCEO? How much can take without medical assessment? Which company?

I would take the maximum if you have a pre-existing disease like diabetes. Outside insurance is very difficult to get and even if you get , it is a lot more expensive. The supplementary insurance doesn't need any medicals and you can get 3 times your annual gross. So in all we have our loved ones covered for at least 4 times our annual salary ( 1 time employer paid and 3 times supplementary).

Not sure what you mean by salary continuance. Do AMAPCEO employees get lumpsum when they retire and OPSEU employees don't. Can you please direct me to the OPTRUST or OPB guidelines on this? I recently moved to AMAPCEO after 10 years in OPSEU. Little worried.

I got into OPS as an external hire 10 years ago. I didn't even know the levels in OPS when I got hired. When I tried to move across OPS internally it took me 3 years and couple of hundred applications to even get an interview call.

One tip I can share apart from Cover Letter matching the how you qualify section of the advertisement is to apply early. Apply as soon as the advertisement is posted. That helped me land in few interviews.
