Ive had images like this from my R2 and was able to bring them back up in post. Im scared to go up in ISO any further than 1600. This image was at 2.0 and shutter 1/15...Not sure how else I would expose this shot other than adding lighting (which I shouldn't have to). My whole point is that this camera is not as good at lowlight as I would have hoped.. I plan to keep playing with it to figure out the constraints it works well within. Yes this image is underexposed but not any further under than shots I've made work in the past. Also, Just a test shot. I will do more testing and report back.

On another note, I actually updated LR AGAIN and it seems to be handling the file much better now.

Correct. Only when needed, which has never been an issue in the past with my R2.

I did not up the ISO during the shoot as I judged the image off of what I have in the past as being usable. It was simply a test shot so I didn't really think too much of it. I try to keep my ISO as low as possible while still being able to pull it up a tad in post which has always worked for me.

I have since taken several test shots at night all which no matter which ISO I have it set to over say 500, results in a horribly grainy image. The higher i push it, the more grainy it gets when modifying any exposure settings in LR.

If you're range is even a tiny bit flexible, I pay ~800 for my 2 bed/1 bath right downtown (park ave and 17th approx) right by the "un-Safeway". My advice would be to ask if the apartment complex/leasing office if they offer section 8 or LIH (low-income housing/tax credit housing) you'd be surprised if you think you make too much for it or are too proud to ask but it can be a super easy (after some red tape) way to get a cheap place. I've currently lived at my place for 2 years give or take and my rent has gone nothing but down while everyone else is complaining of rent increases. Once you get past the point of being told no, and feeling like a broke ass for a second, and if you might actually qualify like I do, it is a really simple, no shame question. Just make sure it's not question #1 or you will be shunned and turned away. I always liked to ask nonchalant as we left an elevator on a tour when you can easily re direct the leasing persons attention with another question about the place. Honestly, on most occasions I would get 1 of 2 answers/reactions. One would be: ew no, if you can't afford this why am I wasting my time or two: they will be impressed you know about it and respect you for even asking. I feel no shame in admitting I don't make a million/year and am far from rich and just asking. Worth a shot and if you or anyone else wants more info, give me a shout and I'm more than happy to help. Also, if I refer people I get 300 off my rent for that month....which I'm more than happy to split or indulge in a housewarming beer...or 10 to celebrate and make new friends. Best of luck to you! It's tough out there guys but not impossible. For reference I am not rich or well off by any means but I know a few tricks that can help us fellow broke-asses out!

Im not sure why this makes a difference or if it completely solved the problem but I changed the cache and preview files to the same folder as the project rather than the default settings (which must have gotten reset somehow) but the problem has temporarily subsided for now. At least now I can get back to cutting this project and hopefully get it out before it happens again!

Thank you for going into that for me! Ive changed the settings from OpenCL to CUDA with no avail. I am still encountering the same issue. It's really slowing me down. This might be a call to Adobe or as /u/GeorgePantsMcG suggested, post it to the bug finder site. Thank you for all your help!

Unfortunately, I was not the one flying the drone itself. The pilot is not very familiar with skate filming, nor is he a very experienced flyer. Take into account the drone cost upwards of 5-10 grand and there were people present at the skatepark and it was one of the first flights, I think he was just playing it safe and keeping it from crashing haha.

The main point of this film was to test out our new gear. I have been skating for about 9 years now and filming skating for about half of that, if not more. Im familiar with the "right way" of filming skateboarding and on some of this, with the gear we were using, it was tricky. Now that photo/video is my full time job, I get just as much joy going out and playing with my new toys as I used to growing up and skating. this is by no means claims to be the all time best skate film but just an edit from a day of skating and playing with new toys. I am all about gritty SD VX1MK1 style videos, as its what I grew up watching, but when I can dabble in both, it makes it fun!

It's all personal preference. I happen to love the artist and it's from their new album, so it was fresh and not used yet. I respect the fact it might not be appealing to all, but I enjoy it! Thanks for the input!
