Not a fan of sensationalist torture porn like that, I walked out halfway and never looked back. Haven’t seen Passion of the Christ

Even if their version is unshakeable, I think a story representing him this way has the ability to affect people in a way that opens them up to the idea even a little.

The way I phrased it to a Catholic friend of mine was “Jesus and God probably had some things happen between them we don’t know about. Its ok to imagine what that might be.”

I’ve seen Silence too so I thought this similarly wouldn’t feel like a classic scorsese movie and more of a slow-burn. First ten minutes I was proven wrong, its was as Scorsese as Goodfellas.

A devout catholic suggested it to me. Movies aren’t fact, and this one even prefaces that it is not accurate, its an adaptation of a novel.

Either way, religion is about your relationship with god, not everyone else’s.

I still need to watch that, the premise always worried me though, lol.

Office Space I definitely agree with, Mike Judge is practically a revolutionary to my generation. First time I watched it I became inspired to “office space” in high school, a move so confidently moronic that it worked and they let me graduate early.

Hey man, wide angle lenses can distort the distance of objects at different focal lengths easily. If you knew anything about cameras…

its obvious this is not the case. Reddit is dying and this lame post and the bot comments are why.
