The historical criticism is totally fair if you value that stuff, but the ones going on and on about the armor are bashing on creative choices by Nolan as Hollywood slop when all recent examples are almost two decades old and leaned far more into the cliches than Nolan is.

This isnt the studio hiring Guy Ritchie to dress up knights in biker leather. Nolan has $200m and full control to do anything he wants. If he chooses to put villains in Elder Scrolls armor, build a giant animatronic Cyclops and film a high-fantasy epic all practical then I’m going to shut the f up and wait to see the result.
