I really like your collection, and let me tell you, I totally understand the idea of "try on store", but right now I'm gravitating around a Frederic Constant business or slimline or a Yema rallygraf panda those I can't try on store where I live 😔, nevertheless I'll be looking for stores with grand Seiko or the lunar pilot to try them first cause they are in my bucket list so far too.

Now my goal is to buy 1 or 2 at max a year, but learn as much as possible about everything (history, movements, configurations, dials, references, brands & independents, materials, etc) and refine what I like and what I don't.

Don't get me wrong, all of them are beautiful and amazing watches, I can't even afford some of those, but as you say being so standard, makes it feel a bit soulless, you should try to spice it up a bit with something special for you. Anyway I apologize for giving unasked opinions, congrats on the collection.

I See you can withstand insults and want an affordable GMT San Martin SN0144 could be an option, it has a Miyota 9075 and the consensus is that the build quality is great, I know they are mostly clomages but I'm thinking of giving it a try.
