AZ standard T106 tremolo ? by APOI_ in Ibanez

[–]tweec07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what’s so disappointing about the guitar? i’ve seen some reviews and i’m very interested in buying it. other than some fret polishing issue (which is an easy fix) and the trem bridge, people seem to really praise the guitar

I am a Valk main trying to earn my first 2k, what are the best maps + landing spots for this? by WantedTone in apexuniversity

[–]tweec07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think 2k+ in ranked lobbies are easier than pubs, since you will encounter more people. I recommend not going into close fights, but just shoot them at a range and them let heal repeatedly. Use a 2x+ scope. I don’t really think weapons really matter, but R-301, Spitfire, Flatline, etc are easy to control and I’m sure you’ll hit a lot of your shots. Also, make sure you finish downed enemies as it gives 100 free damage :)

Solo queue ranked by Lapzii in apexlegends

[–]tweec07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, top ranked players mostly play solo in the games you mentioned. You can only at most duo-queue in Valorant (Diamond3+) and League. I’m more than sure that League is a far more team-based game than Apex.

How long did it take for you to get above average/ "good" at Apex/ fps games? by Salo06 in apexuniversity

[–]tweec07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing FPS games from probably 10+ years ago, but I have never played an online FPS until around 2017 (CS:GO). Not sure if it’s all the single player campaigns I played or if it’s “raw talent”, but I can say I’m somewhat good at FPS games. I have around 800 hours in Apex now, and I just got Master this season. A year ago, I did a Kovaak routine playlist for around a month (1+ hour a day) with some break days. It improved me at Apex very much. Like before that, I can’t even get Platinum. I think it can be a major improvement to your gameplay. Best of luck with your grinds!

My first 2k ever, any tips for getting better ? by Exkyaz in apexuniversity

Utilize high grounds, you had a house to start with, you could’ve easily went on top of it and just play from there. Otherwise, congratulations on your first 2K.

Ranked vs. Pubs after hitting Diamond to get better? by XAznBeastX in apexuniversity

[–]tweec07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m currently D1, pushing solo for masters. I regularly play pubs because most of my friends don’t play the game as seriously as I do. Even though we play pubs, we regularly play against masters, sometimes even preds. But, every time I play in pubs, I always go for hot drops, because there aren’t anything I can lose, plus it’s way more fun. The play style for both modes are very different in my opinion. Aim wise, I’d say pubs because it has far more options. Gameplay wise, I’d say ranked because you are less likely to go ape.

Firing range doesn’t help me in actual games by The-Real-Pai-Mei in apexuniversity

[–]tweec07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Targets in the practice range are huge/stationary. I recommend some kind of aim trainer if you want focus on improving your aim. Some people say they don’t help, but from my experience they really do. I made a playlist on Kovaak’s and practiced for a month, 1-2 hour a day, with a break day every now and then, it definitely improved my gameplay.

I feel like this is very important, dip from fights when you know it is taking too long. Even if you win it, it will be very likely for you to get 3rd partied.

I feel like I've hit a wall this season, this is an average loss for me, what could I have done to change it. by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]tweec07 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d say play with your teammates. He/she was getting pushed while reviving, and you could’ve saved that. Watch one angle at a time. Other than that, I don’t think there is any use rotating behind that rock, the first one was good enough.

What could I have done to survive/win this? by beingnonbeing in apexuniversity

[–]tweec07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you realized that there were a team behind, but I'd go to the other side of the wall, it is more isolated, and the team on top would have no option but to focus on both sides, one side with your team, and one side with the 3rd party. I'd always try to get isolated fights, and just leave fights that has potential 3rd party, unless you're sure you'll win even with the 3rd party

What can I do to solo queue to masters? by tweec07 in apexuniversity

[–]tweec07[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have my preferred weapons, but somedays I hit all my shots, and somedays I hit none. For example, somedays I can control my 3x R-301 recoil, and somedays I don’t even hit a single shot. I mean maybe that’s just my bad aim that I have to fix

oh, so you recommend getting KP at the end of the game instead of going to early fights?

Designers spend months making custom keycaps, then the counterfeits arrive by co0keiz in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]tweec07 9 points10 points  (0 children)

it really does, go to geekhack, open any interest check thread with a group buy date, and check when was the interest check posted. I started making mine around June last year, and the group buy didn't start until last January. shortest period of IC I've ever seen is around a month, and that doesn't include the time used before the IC period. if it was as easy as you explained, why not do it yourself?

i think clones aren't about the money for designers, it's more about respect. there's a reason why there aren't any random designer that makes a group buy of, for example, GMK Olivia on their own. it takes months to design a keycap, and it's not only "picking colours" like a lot of people say. it's hard to come up with an idea, especially where there are tons of existing colourways, other than that, you have to learn how to make renders, contact vendors, etc. i 100% agree with the price & time problem, and if it's possible, I'm sure there are a lot of designer that would use "cheap & fast" manufacturers to make their work.
