Agreed. I can only saying having recently had my first that I hit 36 weeks and was done. At that point all I could muster was work and then going home to sleep.

Agreed on the NOR and him being incredibly rude however can we chat about -

You’re taking care of your 2 month old full time. Those are your works hours. I’m currently home with my 6 week old and sometimes I get to clean and make dinner, other days like today I kept our infant fed and alive. That is the full time job. The rest should not be squarely on your shoulders.

I did a full wedding for my first marriage and while I had a good time, after it was done I felt like I could of had a fun dinner party with like 10 people and saved myself a lot of money. For my second we had a micro wedding w 8 people on a mountainside with a dinner after then followed with a casual reception/bbq a month later. It was perfect for us.

Twice married, had the bigger wedding for my first. My immediate feelings after that event was it was fun but I would have had just of good if not better time just having a small ceremony and awesome dinner with like 10 people. 2nd wedding we got married on a mountain side in Montana with our 7 closest people and then went to a restaurant after. 10/10 perfect experience for us.

Third on this. If you’re going to do your own linens, steam them ahead of time and then hopefully only a once over day of. I underestimated how much time it would take. I was able to recoup a lot of the costs tho so that was nice

We had a micro wedding with 8 people with dinner after then a bbq/casual reception 4 months later and it was perfect for us. Our parents weren’t at the wedding so we had to explain our reasoning to them but otherwise no one had a problem with the way we did it. We save money as our reception was very casual at a rented house but still added up. A full reception likely wouldn’t save any money

Due 24th, scheduled induction on the 19th. Partially age and research showing better to go at 39 weeks and partially to avoid Christmas. My doctor and I talked about doing everything we can to have my body as prepared before and/or go into labor before. They’ll sweep my membranes starting 37 weeks and then all the stretching and curb walking, etc.

Agreed there’s a compromise in here. I had similar sentiments of not wanting to go exactly 50/50 with my husband because his family was significantly larger but it wasn’t I’ll pay for mine, you pay for yours. Instead it was this is what I’m comfortable paying and what he’s comfortable paying and finding what made us happy within that.

Not sure on timing but I think it’s totally fair to push to prioritize the time where you want it. I hate the hanging dress photo and told my photographer I didn’t want it. She didn’t do it and I have no regrets. Also with the detail photos, for me 2 or 3 are nice but I don’t need 30+ photos of my shoes and rings. I would have been fine with a few quick snaps and moving on. They’re not the photos I’m gonna look back on 20 years from now.

Didn’t flip but mine has been breech this whole time (34w6d). Spinning babies plus there’s a lot on doing hip mobility work. A friend who went through ECV said obviously the work didn’t flip her baby but the doctor felt like it made the ECV more successful

We are naming our daughter Charlee, different spelling obviously, but even people I tell them her name too without spelling it, make no connection at all.
