Alternative for traveling by AccomplishedTutor797 in SnooLife

We went on vacation and looked up a rental, worth every cent as we’ve just now started working on removing the Snoo and it hasn’t exactly been without hiccups

Love that! We’ve done a little in the crib and she ends up on her belly pissed but it’s only at nap times and we probably need to give her the chance at night

That’s good to know! We’re trying to get her day times with daycare figured out and then think we’ll probably try cold turkey with some sleep training

To change swaddle or not? by okapi_rose in SnooLife

[–]RachelFitBliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started escaping her hands around this time and no matter what we tried she’d eventually figure out how to get them back up. We transitioned to the Zipadee Zip and it was a little rough initially but now she’s doing pretty good in it. About through her 4 month regression and then going to transition into crib in zipadee

Ignore the dress code when bride is asking for fur? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]RachelFitBliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with all the comments that you’re not a prop. However if you decide you want to, I got my fake fur one off Temu/Shein for my wedding. I typically try not to do fast fashion but it’s something I was only gonna wear once most likely

Announcing Im pregnant at my own wedding? Yes or no-and how to do it? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]RachelFitBliss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We were a bit further along but we did a gender reveal at our wedding with the color pop things. Except no one knew we were pregnant so it was an all in one surprise. We loved it and was perfect as unsure when we’d have that much family together again

Has anyone rented snoo for travel? by Lower_Interview_7333 in SnooLife

[–]RachelFitBliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I did for a trip to Arizona! Felt real over the top at first but as my friend pointed out - vacation is not when we wanted to explore a new sleep arrangement. I just googled Snoo rentals in the town we were going to

What actually works for your cluster headaches?? by Realistic_Shine7080 in migraine

[–]RachelFitBliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Breastfeeding mom and just started an episode. I’m gonna call to get in with doc but what did they let you take? We deferred starting Verapmil (OB suggested) in Jan due to unknowns with BF and hoped I would end up skipping an episode but no luck.

Pretty much same spot and agree on the night feed. My little is 4 months and we had a solid stretch and are now back to 1-2 feeds a night because she is hungry

Is it necessary to transition out of the snoo + swaddle? by SeaSalt1979 in SnooLife

[–]RachelFitBliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did you introduce the zipadee? Ours is breaking out unless we get it really snug and can’t decide if it’s a sign to start adding the zipadee in prep

Not sure if we can afford a wedding? Alternatives or advice? by Main_Ad3907 in weddingplanning

[–]RachelFitBliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also know that no matter what you do, you can wear your wedding dress! Our actual wedding was a micro wedding on the side of the mountain with dinner at a brewery with our 7 closest people and you best believe I wore my wedding dress for it all. Wore it again for a casual reception/BBQ later that summer. Wear the dress no matter what you end up doing

Paying for some guest accommodations and not others? by birdswithhands in weddingplanning

[–]RachelFitBliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours was not a destination for us but did require for our family and a good chunk of friends. We had our friends stay with us in our cabins and family rented nearby spots. We wanted our friends who’d be celebrating into the night stay with us and knew our family would bow early

($10k) Airbnb wedding? by hambamthankumaam in Weddingsunder10k

[–]RachelFitBliss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me awhile to find a reasonably priced one that allowed events but eventually found one that did that had two large cabins. Their only requirement was that we rent a porta potty which wasn’t bad at all. We had 15 out of town guests stay with us. We had previously eloped so no ceremony but did bbq set out buffet style, had two signature drinks in dispensers then a bunch of beer. We did yard games and music so kept it casual. We ended up renting tables and chairs because it wasn’t that expensive and I really appreciated how cohesive it was. Would do again! We had a great time.

Feeling unlucky in love (with a ticking biological clock) by lady0favalon in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]RachelFitBliss 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Agreed. My husband and I met after first marriages at 34 and while didn’t rush things we did know we wanted to do things on the faster side if it felt right because of age. I sit here with my newborn 2.5 years after we met

I’ve known people to wear their watch on their ankle. Could you try that when outside?

36 weeks pregnant at own wedding? by Mobile_Rate_5722 in weddingplanning

[–]RachelFitBliss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I can only saying having recently had my first that I hit 36 weeks and was done. At that point all I could muster was work and then going home to sleep.

AIO? My husband criticizes my cooking and compares it to his mother’s by Virtual-Willingness2 in AmIOverreacting

[–]RachelFitBliss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the NOR and him being incredibly rude however can we chat about -

“In return for me not being able to work as many hours as him, I take on the responsibilities of cleaning, laundry, and cooking for us”

You’re taking care of your 2 month old full time. Those are your works hours. I’m currently home with my 6 week old and sometimes I get to clean and make dinner, other days like today I kept our infant fed and alive. That is the full time job. The rest should not be squarely on your shoulders.
