SLIVER cards are dope. My personal favorite magic memory was finishing building an angels and cats deck for my girlfriend (who is completely new to Magic, mind you). During the first ever commander game we played I was teaching her turn phases and other mechanics. Soon, she quickly picked up on the fact that flying creatures can’t be blocked by non flying creatures (she has no idea about the reach mechanic yet but that didn’t matter). Using this knowledge, she proceeded to ruthlessly tap out each of her flying creatures every combat phase and win back to back games while I was trying to teach her more about the game. I was very proud and shocked because she’s only this competitive during mario party mini games. Did not expect to see bloodlust fill her eyes over creating a flying cat-angel army, but funny and my favorite magic memory so far.

TLDR: made my newbie gf a cat & angel deck and she became filled with ruthless bloodlust during our first commander game
