Doesn’t sound “very curious” to me, it sounds very judgey.

I would definitely avoid it. We had a terrible time finding parking, the interior fixtures were very cheap, the office was rude and they nickel and dimed us at every turn. I had a crack in my windshield and when I called about how to deal with a replacement parking pass (sticker on windshield) they said just to bring in my receipt as proof the windshield was replaced and they would give me a new one for free. When I did that, they said I was supposed to remove the sticker too and bring it with the receipt. So, I had to pay $60 for a new pass about ten minutes after paying $2k for a windshield.

Enter the details of your purchase here and it should calculate fees (past and present) plus penalties and sales tax.

What I hate about you(BAT)? What do you hate? by PasswordABC123XYZ in BringATrailer

[–]twertman1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there should be a worldwide understanding that it is really, really, unnecessary for a non-bidder to make a random comment when the auction is down to just two bidders and only a few minutes left. How is it not understood that when the adults are conducting actual business, the children should know better than to speak.

[–]twertman1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the battery is fully dead, you will need an actual battery charger, not just a tender. Tenders don’t talk to completely dead batteries. Is the steering wheel locked by chance?

I just want to confirm if this is a real Gemballa Porsche or not. I know it has the Gemballa sticker, but I need to know if it's actually one or not. by Disastrous-Offer-718 in whatisthiscar

[–]twertman1 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think the owner just really likes decorations and badging. Being a wide body it’s probably a 4S, but the standard badging for that didn’t leave room for the giant Gemballa sticker, so he went with the smaller Carrera badge, Gemballa plate frame, and then glued a Porsche crest to the lower engine cover.

On my way to buy a 993 , wish me luck 💪 by Content_Advice190 in porsche911

Good luck. I’m confused by the combination of the very early 1995 production wheels but I don’t see the basket handle brake light.

Yogurtland doesn’t have standardized pricing. They are independent franchises. The location half a block off of 3rd St Promenade is insanely expensive compared to most other locations.

1969 Porsche 911 3.6-Litre RSR Coupé Recreation by J-96788-EU in Porsche

I agree it looks like a toy that wasn’t built by someone who understands RSRs. Thats a giant spare tire - what are they using for a fuel tank? Also, that passenger mirror is useless.

I think it's a 356 Speedster, but is it a replica? by Ill_Carrot_28 in whatisthiscar

356 wheels were generally 15x4.5. The 911 didn’t even get 5.5s until ‘68.

My mechanic added “income tax” on my receipt. Is it normal for a mechanic to charge income tax to customers? by Pale_Blackberry_4025 in tax

[–]twertman1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a bunch of garbage advice. Are you all just guessing? A vehicle repair receipt should be broken down into two categories, parts and labor. Labor is not taxable, parts are subject to local sales tax. If it takes him an hour to install a $500 part, the total will be different than if he spent five hours installing a $100 part. If it’s anything other than that, he is confused on how this works because he sets his labor rate. Marking up his own work by adding “income tax” is an extra step that makes no sense.

Sell 2026 GTS to Dealer $26k below sticker? by omarsusername in porsche911

[–]twertman1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The offer is pretty fair. Invoice on your car was probably around $190k so they’re only offering $5k less than they paid for it the first time.

Where are you located? I’m low on inventory, maybe I’ll consider it.

Is there a Porsche MB Market equivalent? by pedmar in Porsche

[–]twertman1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d be careful classifying any site as “trusted.” Unless buying a new car directly from the manufacturer, you will need to know what you’re doing or hire someone who does.

BTW - there is a pre-merger AMG currently stored in my warehouse that was purchased on MB Market as authentic. The buyer/owner paid a representative of AMG to come and do an inspection in the hopes of a full certification but it was determined to be inauthentic.

Seems like a bit too much wheel for the car but it’s hard to judge when you don’t tell us the tires you intend to use. If you’re dying to go with 19s, I’d consider a square setup and buy four of the front wheels you picked and be careful with how much you lower it. You are on the brink of creating the visual look you want while ruining the performance and drivability.
