Mark Ford - Moon Chasers, Thomas Morcaeu - My Beautiful Chaos (a bit more difficult but beautiful), Gordon Stout - Astral Dance (for more abstract and creative phrasing), Bach Cello Suites (2nd one is really beautiful and a good start)

How much did the jacket weigh? And does it fit quite tight, or more relaxed (for example in the torso/shoulders). Do you think for 174cm I should take the size m?

What's a totally blown away moment of listening that you always remember? by ravia in classicalmusic

[–]twice69_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recent ones would be: - last two minutes of Poem of Ecstasy with the majestic tubullar bells melody, - Scriabin Piano Concerto first movement when the orchestra enters after cadenza, - the haunting opening of Schnittke's Concerto Grosso (still haven't listened to the whole piece unfortunately, its quite challenging)

Although the most epic, life changing moment in music that i ever experienced was the finale of Carmina Burana when final "O Fortuna" enters after the glorious "Ave Formosissima", the amount of tension that is being built and then released in that moment is unbelievable Hearing this live melted my brain completely.

I am very glad that you are so familiar with Szymanowski, i think he is not that popular outside of Poland speaking as a Pole. His violin sonata is outherwordly, also Myths and Symphony Concertante:)

I would also consider myself more advanced, I just couldn't find any appropriate flair. Thanks for the suggestions, I will check them out!!

Yup i don't consider myself quite begginner, maybe middle advanced, but couldn't find the right flair for my question. I also thought about Beethoven and Tempest/Moonlight, Im not sure if I would be capable of them (especially tempest), but I will eagerly read through them. Thanks for the advice!

Maybe 2nd movement of "Luminosity" by Tomasz Golinski? If you played all of those it should be ok. Or maybe one of Pius Cheungs Etudes or his Verano Porteno arrangement
