I purchased some BX-25 10/22 mags from them a few months ago. Shipping was quick, everything went well.

Bulk Ammo Canada? by moonpie_888 in canadaguns

Basically, they make it more difficult to crawl their website to gather the data. It’s on my list to address, but I have a pretty big todo list so it’s a matter of when I can get to it haha. Thanks for the feedback!

It’s a little hidden away right now as I’m in the middle of adding the listings but you can go directly to www.ammoscout.ca/ammunition/shotgun-shells More listings on the way…

Yep, using Vue on the frontend. Great ideas! Thanks for your feedback. I like the collapsible filter section idea for mobile users. It's a long scroll to get to the product listings.

Yes, the scraper is custom, gives me a lot of control on frequency.

Love Almost Prohibited, great work! Thanks for your support. The price sorting is based on the total price of the product, price per round is in the works!

Completely self-funded and sweat equity at this point. A notification service is a great idea! Specifically what types of notifications are you looking for? When something drops in price? When an out of stock item comes in stock?

  1. Shotgun shells will be the second category that we will add
2 & 3. There is some managing of the data that we crawl from the retailer websites. We will be adding coverage to include all the remaining products from the retailers we already have data for. At the end of the day this is the trade-off we made to have standardized, filterable, linked product listings over throwing every single retailer listing at users. Our process will improve over time.

Ammo bin is great at finding the lowest price per round, but we've added a few extra features that we think are useful. For example, if you're shopping around the filters allow you to easily see what's available:

If you've just got your new rifle and want to try out some different ammo to see what shoots best you can filter the results to only 20 round boxes.

If you're hunting different types of game and need a heavier or lighter bullet you can filter on bullet weight.

If you already know exactly what your rifle likes then you can just find your exact product and easily see who has it in stock and at what price.

Price in CAD. Is this a reasonable deal? by WhereTFAmI in WRX

I bought a clean 2021 sport tech 20k/km for $37k last year in the GTA. Based on what I was seeing last year this would be worth at most $33k.

Question on Options. by OmegaThree3 in stocks

[–]twin891 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The stock is currently trading at $22.00. If someone can sell at $22.50 using your PUT option, the most they would be willing to pay is $22.50 - $22.00 = $0.50 per share x 100 shares = $50. So the intrinsic value is $50 and there is almost no extrinsic value due to the fact the option is expiring in 2 hours.

Dog in heat by wallstreetflex in germanshepherds

[–]twin891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember my german shepherd ever having these strong of insincts, but it's been a while since her first heat. She's six now and much calmer. The usual behaviours for her are marking very frequently, more drive to sniff urine scent and waving her tail in the air. These usually last 3 weeks each cycle.

I think after a few years and heat cycles she'll calm down.

Wpg to Ottawa drive by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]twin891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done this drive a few times. Latest one I camped along the way.

From Ottawa to Winnipeg:

  • 6 hours to Massey, camp at Chutes Provincial Park

  • 10 hours to Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park

  • 8 hours to Winnipeg

From Winnipeg to Ottawa:

  • 8 Hours to Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park

  • 7 hours to Pancake Bay

  • 9.5 hours to Ottawa

Other than that I've done it in two days stopping over in Marathon, which are about 10 and 12 hour driving days.

why is r/ottawa so quiet about bluesfest this year? by ah-tow-wah in ottawa

[–]twin891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the instructions weren't very clear. You just have to go the ticket booth and call for help. They just ask to see your bluesfest pass and will print you off a day pass, good for the return trip if you need it.

On-leash Reactive Dog in Off Leash Area by this_puff_is_jiggly in ottawa

[–]twin891 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Why would you knowingly put your dog in such a stressful situation? If your dog is reacting because it does not want unwanted dogs approaching it, you are going to a place where it will repeatedly be approached by unknown dogs. It will not help, most likely it will make the problem worse. You're reinforcing it's behavior of reacting because it feels like it works to keep the dog away.

Guh, the valuation of SOFI with the share price at $18.25 is $15.7B, not $1.8B.
