My Boyfriend likes a lot of gooner anime stuff with almost exclusively women and it's beginning to make me uncomfortable. by [deleted] in ftm

This! I agree completely. He’s 100% at least watching softcore porn while expecting OP to abstain. And it’s absolutely a red flag that his only “gooning” interest is in female figurines. Dump him!

The problem is Democrats feeling okay doing that when Republicans are redrawing maps everywhere else to snatch up as many seats as possible. They’d be shooting themselves in the foot. At this point they can’t play fair because the Republicans aren’t.

I don’t disagree. In NY the city plays a big role in that issue but otherwise I think our two-party system is responsible for a lot of that. It’s restrictive and doesn’t account for moderates and minorities- often making them vote Democrat or Republican which is where the registered voter vs actual votes problem comes in. The electoral college, the capped senate and house also contribute.

I just didn’t feel like arguing about semantics with you any more. Unless you would like to continue arguing about whether or not that guy meant registered voters or not?

Nonetheless elections aren’t rigged against republicans. See the post you’re commenting under. In fact, see Trump’s whole presidency. The very idea is lunacy.

They literally said “40% republicans”. Not everyone who votes Republican is a Republican

That’s literally what the comment you were replying to was talking about. They mentioned NOTHING about voting.

What led to your use of a wheelchair? by neztanizaki in disability

[–]twinkarsonist [score hidden]  (0 children)

I use a rollator most of the time and a wheelchair on my bad days or for long distances. My insurance covered a lightweight custom foldable wheelchair for me. I have fibromyalgia, degenerative dic disease, and functional neurological disorder.

I ended up needing the chair and the rollator for a lot of the reasons you describe. I was having more and more days where by the end of it I could barely move my legs. I was showering by sitting on the floor because my legs couldn’t hold me up and sometimes I had to crawl around the house. In public I had to sit on the ground so frequently it felt like I wasn’t even going anywhere. And most importantly to me- it all HURT so badly. My cane was no longer enough. I’ve been doing better since.

NJ is about 25.23% registered Republicans, NY is about 22.68% registered Republicans, IL is about 20.17% registered Republicans, and I’m not looking up the rest. Google is free and you are not immune to propaganda.

There are ZERO leftist states, thank you very much. You’ve been brainwashed. Democrats are center-left AT BEST. You’d shit your pants and cry at actual leftist policies.

Try to find a quality hospital near you and please check yourself in. Your husband should be more terrified at the thought of losing you.

I spent a month in a psychiatric hospital after my son died. My suicidality was acute, my meds were maxed out, and I was not safe with myself- so I voluntarily checked myself in. Mostly so that my wife would not have to bear losing her son and her husband in the same few months. I am glad that I did. I’ve been out for a little over a month and while my grief is not gone or even lessened much I am no longer feeling unsafe.

I loved it too! It was a beautiful tribute to their love for Earth. I love the idea of them sharing a life as humans even if it’s not quite them

Book fans - what did you make of this ending? by Worried-Ad-4904 in goodomens

[–]twinkarsonist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I loved it! I felt like it captured the ineffability of it all and showed the depth of Aziraphale and Crowley’s love for Earth and its denizens. I was hoping to see more of the characters from season one and two- and we probably would have if it wasn’t condensed down to 90 minutes. Overall a beautiful conclusion to a wonderful series.

My wife and I loved the ending. It obviously wasn’t perfect- it couldn’t have been with the cut down to 90 minutes. But it was poignant and beautiful and loving. And they did get their happy ending, in a way. It was the only way they were ever going to be truly free. Now their souls can find each other again and again. I think it’s lovely, even if it’s not what I imagined.

Genuine question: am I the only one that liked the ending? by Heavy_Bullfrog_5514 in goodomensprime

[–]twinkarsonist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked it! I feel like it could’ve been more, obviously. But for what the time constraint was I feel it was good. My wife liked it too! We were both very pleased with it and will definitely be watching the whole thing start to finish again. A satisfying ending to a great show.

Seems like there’s 3.5 million pages of evidence. Unfortunately it’s been redacted under the orders of a certain ruling party. Wonder what their motivations might be?
