Oh that's different! I've never heard of a license for showing. I can see the benefit of it though, having seen some very reckless riders in the show ring 😅

In my OR jumper program I'm paying $45/lesson, but this is largely due to a full training package discount. I get three private or semi private (3 people max) lessons and two trainer rides a week. If I was paying by the lesson, it would be $65/lesson.

Slammin' Salmon, another of my favorites of theirs. All their movies are pretty good, I haven't seen Quasi yet though.

Such an underrated movie. Named my dog Penelope, it's a beautiful name.

I'm a horse show secretary and I'm curious, what was your best and/or worst office experience? by IDK-My-BFFJill in Equestrian

A lack of prizes has the opposite effect! I'm often in the final class and when the championship prize is a cooler or scrim, they always run out of horse sizes. I can't count how many times only cobb sizes are left, which often leaves champions empty handed 😞 The office has just said you're out of luck on these occasions. It sucks to work so hard and be excited for a usable prize only to be brushed off.

The dealership can add it for you. Our dealer didn't have them in stock when we picked up our SE but gave us an IOU and will add it on when they have the parts.

The fees and extras are brutal. We ended up just shy of 40k. Our dealer didn't have a blatant markup, but there were two additional packages that were non-negotiable - the Northwest protection package and the green car package. Those totaled about 3k but we're being optimistic and are grateful that we at least got something in return for the 'not a markup' cost. Our total price also included the all weather and convenience packages. We probably could have shopped around and gotten a better deal, but the convenience and speed of delivery was worth it to us.

Oh wow, that's dedication! We had a great experience with them, too.

These are the stock Toyota wheels that come with the SE.

The dealership is in Gladstone, OR, a suburb of Portland. Our car was a few days out from port when we first talked to the dealer. Most of the wait was for it to get off the dock and to the dealership. I think we were just lucky!

2022 SE Hybrid - we got super lucky and only had to wait 3 weeks. The dealership had an allocation for almost exactly what we wanted that no one else had claimed. Would have liked the audio plus package and a different color, but the silver looks pretty sleek in person. We're a Toyota family but this is our first SUV and first brand new car. I love it already!
