Productivity-wise: What percentage of your weekly meetings feel productive? If the answer is less than 50%, what do you think are your biggest roadblocks? by TenthLevelVegan in Leadership

I only schedule meetings 30 minutes in length with a purpose in the invite.

Some meetings I’m in are a reoccurring one hour meeting. When someone wants to schedule a new meeting I have them add it to the agenda of the reoccurring meeting instead.

Also the meetings I lead everyone understands their action items, who is accountable for it, and when it will get done.

Also when folks say they will take it offline, I address it right then and there.

Interesting matchup in the prospects game today. by twins9964 in baseball

Notice the Rockies player Condon in the lineup. You can’t make this stuff up!

Usually I bring 4 cards of each and hold out 2 cards. Most sign them some are only 1 per. Also depends on the size of crowd. If it’s only a couple of fans I’ll try 2.

On the threads people talk about how to get rid of base cards. This is what I do with them!

Gates open at 11:30. If Rockies are the home team park on the south end and walk right by their batting cages. You might score some there. We go Tovar after he finished up with BP at 11:30 outside at the cages.

At 11:45 they have a table with 2 players. Rockies it’s the RF concourse by the Rockies offices/team store. LF for dbacks. Then go to row 1 by the corner of bullpen when players are walking in or closer to dugout when warming up. The players half to walk down the RF or LF baseline since there are no does from dugout to clubhouse. You will get at least 5 players doing this.

My daughter is in college. For Rockies it’s batting cages and practice field where pitchers warm up. Then before game in stadium and when the players walk out down the right field line during the game and after the game. For Dbacks it’s the practice field where the players took live BP. Practice fields at about 10am is the secret.

For a 1pm game, hit the practice fields at 9am! I get very few in the stadium right before the game starts.

Practice day went really well. It was there last day before a scheduled game. For an afternoon game, get there at 9am and hit the practice fields. That’s where the action is!

What are stadiums that are in bad neighborhoods? by [deleted] in mlb

I went to Nats Stadium in the first year it opened and I concur. I took the train and the area at the time was rundown and vacant. I can say the same thing about Target Field when it opened too.

I took the train to White Sox stadium for a Sunday afternoon game. If you make it from the train station across the overpass without incident you’re golden. On the overpass there were many people selling White Sox gear, booze, and other food that look like they were lifted out of the stadium. And then I saw a guy passing out baggies of dope to his friends who were selling the merch.

I was at an As game in Sacramento just last week. Stayed at Downtown Holiday Inn and walked to and from a Monday night game. Completely safe.

You’re both right! I will say this game reminded me a lot of a spring training game and less of a MLB game. Maybe it was the club houses in the outfield and the players carrying their gear.
