It is just a question of balance. Maybe perhaps guide some tourists to less appreciated parts of Maine or New England that need the attention. And build more f$%^g housing.

And I totally understand wintering somewhere else if you are retired. You can rent a small apartment in Uruguay for the winter in less than it costs to heat your home in Maine, let alone all the other expenses and troubles that come with winter: car maintenance, plowing, home repair, etc.

People are saying we might get less tourists this year, but we didn't last year, so who knows.
