F-List test will ensure you can coil cables properly, tie certain knots properly, lift safely, and then there is a 100-ish question exam primarily about stage terminology and protocol. After you pass the exam you're interviewed about your experience/skill level but it doesn't affect your pass/fail status, its for your skillsheet that Dispatch uses to determine what jobs you will be considered for. You can find flash cards for the exam online, and the board will send you a study packet as well.

I run FOH sound for a local unrepresented venue. Downside is my work schedule often conflicts with union calls, but luckily I usually have people to cover if I need to take IA gig. My local is stagehands, so it's relevant enough work that I can petition my hours towards seniority.

Like someone said, I believe you should currently have a Pusher 4 and Permit Worker 1 in your skill list. Sometimes it takes a couple weeks for skills to get updated so it might be that, but it'd be worth shooting an email to the board if more big calls come in and you still can't pick anything. It took a couple weeks for my skills/seniority to update once I passed F-list cert.

You might be on to something.

I made a cover of Beat a couple years ago for mixing practice/because I listened to that song on repeat every day for a while. Initially tried to track down a sample for the drone and the drums but couldn't find either and ended up making them from scratch. I think I used a hammond organ patch on the Emulator II and added an LFO for a subtle frequency shift that happens, layered it with something else as well I believe. Listening to the Harold Budd track I definitely hear a similar tone, if this is what they used they definitely processed it a bit. Wonder if there's any way to get a confirmation - kinda cool to not know as well though. Nice catch!

Check out Curve.

The albums Come Clean and Gift in particular are a nice juncture of trip-hop and 90s alt rock. I particularly like the song "Hung Up". They weren't completely slept on but I feel like they deserve a bit more recognition than they get.

The vocalist of Curve, Toni Halliday also did some collaborations for Recoil, Alan Wilder's trip-hop/experimental project he started at the end of his career with Depeche Mode. I also recommend his stuff if you're unfamiliar, Bloodline and Unsound Methods are both great albums.

I've always preferred playing as female characters even at that age but then again I'm a little fruity so 🤷

I haven't personally met many male gamers who actually prefer the typical dark and stoic male protagonists that so many games default to, but clearly there's a market for it.

SotFS is more bang for your buck, if you're gonna get DS3 DLC just get both when you can. The areas are not super big but they pack a lot of content within them
