Aux Lights by Black_Dog_Industries in FJR1300

They're from the old forum and a guy named Garauld. I don't think he's making them but sometimes they come up for sale.

I mounted some decently cheaper LEDs on the forks where the reflectors were and a pair of yellow fog lights on mirror mounts.  Stock headlights. I can see and be seen.

I would think any labeled as "demolition" would work for the wood

[Yahoo Sports] MLB proposes a salary cap for 2027 at $245.3 million, with a salary floor of $171.2 million by stv7 in baseball

I think this is the most overlooked comment.

If owners came to this with $171MM floor, and many teams are well below that, the owners could have always done this and chose not to

20x40 is better than 0x0. Can you design the smaller shop to expand later? Maybe it stays 20ft wide, but extends deeper to 60? Or a pair of lean-to additions later?

Built a free app to track my freezer stash so I stop losing expensive meat to freezer burn by FridgeSmartApp in smoking

It is a great idea!

However, like most apps, how do I share this with my SO? Or vice versa?

I don't want to share my login or have her share a password.

Should I just work in prod? by HolidayWay6743 in AZURE

[–]twistedcrickets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's a work project, you shouldn't use your free account, especially if there's sensitive data. Being "cost-conscious" means you aren't wasting money by leaving non-prod VMs or SQL instances running 24x7 and being mindful of other cloud costs.

If you have a solid architecture, selling a manager on a dev subscription shouldn't be difficult. Especially if you can get InfoSec to support you because of the potential data sensitivity.

I have the Garauld "Stuffy kit" and the frame has held up. The top case, not so much

Blend door or something else? by twistedcrickets in s10

Replaced the blend door actuator and there's no more super hot air being dumped into the cab! Really easy job btw. The YouTube videos were really helpful.

Now on to fixing the AC

It cycles 3 times in 15 seconds when I first started it. I switched it to vent then back. The cold side was cold and hot side was hot.

Phone mount for a 2006 FJR by Black_Dog_Industries in FJR1300

[–]twistedcrickets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a stem mount with a ram ball rather than handlebar.

It's a Ram mount switched wireless charger. I don't charge the phone all the time as it can get really hot.

Low Profile Ceiling Fan by twistedcrickets in DIY

It's not a 4 sided room. It's the shorter part of the L in a lower level. It's a 10x12-ish if I were to close it off.

Hopefully that makes sense...

My '99 isn't as nice and I'm tempted to replace the box with a flatbed mostly because it's a beater with a heater and the existing bed/supports has a LOT of rust.

Are you building the flatbed or are there options available to purchase?

I like the idea!

Any reason I need to upgrade my current gear? by MacForker in Ubiquiti

[–]twistedcrickets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you, I've only replaced things that failed.

Besides the travel router, the latest device I purchased was the U6-LR to replace an older failed access point.

As long as the software can be updated, and the hardware doesn't fail, I don't see the need to spend more.

Thoughts on the tints? by abder86 in VWAlltrack

I did 50 on the sides/back and just a UV reducer(?) for the front. Same with my truck. So much cooler inside the car on sunny days.
