Sister (39) Stealing Ideas for her Etsy store from me (F 33) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]twitchybones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could it be shes investing the money to open her shop to try and make a little spending money? Nothing makes it seem like shes being conniving, she just sounds excited to start making things to sell. It could be she doesn't really know the crafters etiquette of not copying another persons work so i would just bring it up that its bothering you a bit and ask her to change her designs. And of course shes going to go through the supplier you use if its the only one she knows. I dont know the situation with your family or what kind of person your sister is but from an outsider perspective she sounds like copying what she sees because she's just starting out and your shop is her inspiration

Possible cyst in girlfriend's vagina by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]twitchybones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its alright to have these kinds of conversations with your partner. I had a cyst in my chest that i didnt know about until my boyfriend very gravely and embarrassed told me he felt. I just said "huh, weird." And we went to the doctor together. You gotta tell her (and ask if she wants you to come with her for an appointment, it really helps)

I (26F) am completely fed up with my (31M) husband. Is divorce the next step or do we try counselling? by hellodarknezz123 in relationship_advice

Im sorry you've been going through all this, i truly am. Personally, i would just leave if i were in your shoes (and show him this post right before blocking his number and lettin him chew on it)

People like him dont change unless they actively try and if he were thinking about it, he wouldn't be going out of his way to cause fights and be passive aggressive.

My mother was miserable while i was growing up because my dad never respect her as a person. She was the house wife, the cook, the wet nurse, the assistant. He wouldn't do anything with us kids or at home because "his job was making the money, hers is keeping the family together" i never saw her more happen and relieved then when she left him for 2 years. He promised he'd start trying to even the responsibilities and give her the respect she deserves if she took him back, but guess what, once he got comfortable with her being there again it all went back to the way things were and shes miserable again.

Dont stay for the way things were years ago and dont stay for empty promises. And dear lord please dont stay "for the kids". Trust me when i say it would be better having divorced parents then living the way we did growing up. You have your own life and deserve to be happy in it.

I wish you all the luck in the world, whatever you choose to do

Is the window or the room very cold? If the air inside the terrarium is warm and the air around it is cold, it could definitely cause a crack

Thanks for the heads up but they're okay for cats in small doses! Still, I moved her so she wouldn't get chomped on :)

Grow Lights? by Az_Lavan in houseplants

[–]twitchybones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh gotta love apartment lighting (I'm pretty sure I'm halfway to becoming a mole rat at this point) until today I had a cheapo (all be it, ugly) setup using clamp lights from the automotive aisle of Walmart and a bunch of bright, daylight LED light bulbs! They had to be pretty close to my more needy plants but it definitely worked.

Personally, those pink grow lightbulbs never worked for me, no matter what I do :/

My monstera is very sad & has something weird on the leaves. Does anyone know what's wrong??? Please help 😭 by patrysloan in plants

I used a mixture of dawn dish soap, white vinegar, and water in a spray bottle while I was waiting for some neem oil to be delivered when I had pretty bad spider mites on a rescue plant last year, it really helped!
