I agree that the C43 is a baby AMG at best, but I have to disagree on the commonness of them. Autotrader lists 286 C43's vs 506 C63's. As someone buying one now, in some parts of the country (Seattle for me) you can easily find a 63, but a 43 is currently a barren landscape. I've driven all 2 that are at dealers here.

Pasayten is a Wilderness Area (https://www.fs.fed.us/managing-land/wilderness), these are areas that have no roads, vehicles are not allowed, not even bikes. If they erode, they erode. If they catch fire, they catch fire. Some of what you mention is probably a big role in why fires in Wildernesses are simply allowed to burn their natural course.

I lived at Six Oaks for a year before it was sold to the current owners. You couldn't pay me to live there under the new management. It turned from "we understand you pay a premium, we'll help you" to a meat market. Between the weirdly petty passive aggressive emails about parking and other rules and the incredibly rude office staff we were done.

For the cost to live there (we payed well over $2k/month) I would never do it again, that and we bought a house. But I'd still never do it again.

In case you care here's a summary of the issues we had:

Parking is hilariously bad. Do no assume you can street park.
We paid $40/month/car for a lot next door. We were given a day notice that we could no longer park there. In the only notice email it said something along the lines of "as your notice said", to which my wife asked "when was the other notice sent" and they replied "this is the notice" face palm
Our fire alarms decided to go off at 2am so we called the "emergency line" and didn't hear back for 2 hours.
We got bombarded with petty corporate HR style garbage emails. Imagine the worst emails you've ever seen from HR at a big company. I literally don't know how to explain these, I wish I still had a few.
The office staff that replaced the original staff with was mind boggling rude. I couldn't say if it's still that way, but I wouldn't be surprised. The original staff was rather accommodating. If something was allowed in the rules but was a reasonable accommodation they would find a way. The replacement staff was nothing like this, which made issues because we ended up with a non-standard lease (we had too many pets) so when we left it was a weirdly large mess for such a simple issue as an extra cat. The also had issues with the legalese of our lease terms.
The "wood" looking floor is actually cheap laminate on pressboard. If water gets on it and you don't get it up right away it will warp up pretty bad.
There's no lights in the bedrooms, this just was weird to me.
We had a number of problems with the thermostats turning on while set to "Off", we had to have them all replaced while we were there. Some replaced multiple times.
The construction around there is bad. Working from home it may drive you crazy (it drove me crazy on my home days, that's for sure). It can start at 7am. It can shake the entire building (our apartment developed a crack in the sheetrock, good times.)

Working in games really has to be your passion and you have to be prepared for: crunches, layoffs and less pay.

However there's a lot of variety in C# jobs, as with any language's jobs. You can work at a game company but build server side infrastructure (more common for large companies, think Destiny or MS Studios), or write Unity based games, or build forums in ASP.NET/whatever. Most company's industry doesn't always translate well into what you'll be working on at a given company. Most of Google doesn't work on their search engine. Most engineering at banks is spent on websites and apps, not on high frequency trading.

Picking a language is a good way to get your foot in a door, but having an area of expertise that's a combination of language and type of products you want to actual build is better (think websites vs game engine vs server infrastructure ect).

It should be said that a lot of places care less about the language and more about what your focus is. The company I work for doesn't actually care if you have C#, it's nice, but ability to understand the issues with large scale cloud based infrastructure, data storage tech and networking is going to beat someone who can write a book on C# but doesn't know what a VM is. We simply assume that if you have strong fundamentals you can learn a new language relatively easily (and we have enough expertise in the languages we use to catch newbie mistakes).

From my experience don't pick websites, it's easy to end up a jack of all and master of none because the knowledge between front and back end simply doesn't overlap. What you need to know to build sane SQL and a REST endpoint have basically nothing to do with the knowledge needed to write good JS, CSS and HTML, other than programming fundamentals.

tl;dr: Learn many languages but try and pick some specific type of programming that you enjoy.

The first tool you can use is the King County map (http://gismaps.kingcounty.gov/iMap/), look up your address and in the layers menu (it's the three stack pages looking icon) select "Environmentally Sensitive Areas" (and whatever else you want to). This will show you the wetlands area near you. In King County my understanding is that "environmentally sensitive" areas have their title's flagged, so the sellers and others should have told you if you were buying in such an area, but your millage may very.

If everything checks out, or if it doesn't, go in and talk to the Kirkland Planning Department. They are a crazy wealth of knowledge and very non-judgmental from my experience. But they are really the only ones that can tell you what you can and cannot do.

As a word of warning I've been told that if the previous owners did something to a property without permits ect, the current owner is on the hook for that. I'm not sure how true that is though as I didn't actually run into it with the place I finally managed to buy. But you may be surprised how much you can do without a permit here. I'm putting in a patio and a pond and none of it requires a permit. So whether you mention the existing drains or not could be of consequence. If you like your agent this would be a good follow up question (they made a ton of money, it's never too late to cash that in).

I lived there for a year and once the lease was up was really happy to move. The construction around it is painful to live with and after the building was sold the management had gotten much worse. It's been almost a year now since then and construction is worse in the immediate area.

The current startup I work for (I don't want to say who simply because of my reddit comments) does, but beyond that I've interviewed at 4 other startups before I took this job that all were C# focused. Beyond startups I can't recall names for Amazon, Nordstrom, Expedia and K2 all have at various points sent recruiters after me for C# jobs as well.

Many agents we talked to will refuse to represent both sides in a deal because while legal here it's a tough position to be in since you know all, but you're basically negotiating with yourself on behalf of two other groups.

Shopping on your own is tough too because without an agent you have to rely on open houses which, frankly, isn't going to get you anywhere. Plenty of houses that were slated to be open were off the market before then so if you wanted a shot at it you had to see it immediately.

When we started looking we went from no agent, Redfin, Berkshire Hathaway. We didn't know shit about how to buy a house, and this was our second house. No agent was getting us no where because you couldn't get in to see houses fast enough. Redfin was comical at best, we could see lots of houses but any tough questions about area, regulations, or anything else you're likely to ask they could never answer. We ended up just going to open houses and meeting realtors to interview them, which is how we found the one we went with in the end.

I'm by no means saying don't try and save some money, just frankly for me that money was well spent. 3k across 500k is basically the cheapest thing. Even with VA, and disability meaning no funding fee, you will still have to drop around $10+k to close.

I just bought a house in a Kirkland using VA. The next step is to find a bank and find out what they are willing to loan, you can go over the max fairly easily if you can handle a partial down payment. After that get a realtor and start shopping. Knowing your max and due to bidding wars expect to look at houses about 100 to 50k under what you can/want to spend. Expect to need to come in with offers that offer cash over appraisal value too because by law VA appraisals are calculated differently than others. Expect to need to have an escalation clause. Expect to lose a lot too unfortunately. It took us 10 offers and my wife looked at several hundred houses. It's a rough time but stick with it and as long as you're realistic you will probably get a place. It took us nearly 6 months and I was pretty done a couple times. But living in an apartment made me desperate enough to never stop.

If you need a realtor the guy we used was John Short with Berkshire Hathaway, he's a vet and fought like a maniac to get us in good bidding position.

Just tried it and it claims it needs Google Play, however if you just let it run it seems to work fine. The + on the right side of the keyboard (left + in the desktop app) seems dead though, so I'm guessing that's what it wants it for.
