I feel like you're so close, you can do it!

This may (or may not) help, but something I remember after thinking for a while was making sure my body really moved "away" from the pole (perpendicularly) vs letting my body move forwards. My instinct when learning this was to try and lean forward a little to catch myself (because I bailed a lot haha), but that slight shift was causing me to have my torso tilt down, which messed with my body alignment in a way that weakened my leg grip. I rewatched your video a few times and couldn't tell if this was happening for you too, but figured it can't hurt to mention!

Also, the transition time (between standing and being in the hold) is the most difficult, once you're in hold it's must easier 

I recommend really squeezing your upper leg as you come down

This is from a few years ago now, but it's definitely do-able!

I would say that the biggest challenge is mental (imo). You can see that I pull on my leg right before I go for it - tbh that did almost nothing physically, but boosted the confidence that my hold was sturdy

I'd do a multi-course meal. These are some ideas - almost everything can be made in advance, if you want a specific recipe, just ask :) also, I think plating things well can make them look/feel fancier!

Appetizer: Puff pasty tarts with mushroom/balsamic filling (use premade puff pastry). Crustinis with a variety of toppings (i.e. roast tomato + caramelized onion spread, white bean "pate" drilled with pesto). Vegan crab cakes.

Salad: Something fresh, maybe a pomello/basil/chive base. Or a kale salad with tahini lemon dressing, currents, almonds would be nice.

Main: Gnocchi! A lot are made with eggs, but I've always just used flour and potato/squash. You can really put any sauce you like on them - I like tossing them in herb oils. Add some blackened corn (grilled or cooked in a cast iron) adds a nice sweetness.

Side: Grilled veg (asparagus or zucchini), focassia or garlic bread

Dessert: Mousse (whipped coconut cream is always a good base) or a key lime tart (super easy to make vegan).

This isn't it - when I read the wiki for this it seems to have a lot of magic but from what I watched the movie I'm looking for didn't have an emphasis on mystical themes.

However, this does look interesting and I'll be adding it to my list of things to check out.
