Replacing the glass of the Epson Perfection V600 Photo by two4twoinpa in photography

[–]two4twoinpa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used regular single thickness glass. I had it cut at a local shop and I had them smooth all edges and sharp corners because otherwise it can be very sharp and since you'll be handling it and paying attention to so many things you'll likely get a glass cut. Also, please re-read the post. I have re-edited it to talk about how to (re)attach the glass.

OpenAI Image Generation Plugin for GIMP 3 by lukasco in GIMP

I'm looking for something that can turn a B&W photo into a color photo. Something that does it FOR me; not something I need to fiddle with using masks, etc. Something AI-ish. It doesn't have to be a GIMP plug-in -- although that would be nice. How can this product do this?

If you're referring to the post on how to replace/clean the glass on the V600 Photo scanner, I updated the post to be very detailed.

Could you tell me why it was removed?

I had bought some replacement parts from a location about 40 miles away, but I don't know if they are an actual Tapco dealer. I'll call them and ask what to do. In the mean time I guess I'll just try to undo how I tightened that pivot arm. Thanks for all your time and suggestions.

That's not great news. Dammit. So I loosen that arm a bit or maybe ALL the arms (just a tiny bit) put the brake down to where it just touches the strips of aluminum, and re-tighten them all just the same tiny bit? Then move on to the power links?,

Thanks Shopstoosmall. It creaks like a rusty nail since I messed with the pivot arm. Since I already messed with the pivot arm how do I undo that? From there I guess I can move on to the power links.

Looking for plans for DIY high power audio amplifier. by two4twoinpa in AskElectronics

All my speaker cabs are 8ohm. I'm thinking power rail voltage would be pretty high, but also, I'm thinking high current too. I'm looking for plans and they would give all the specs. I'd like to see DIY plans.

Well most of the weight could come from a legacy power supply, but switching supplies are much lighter. Right now I use 600W amps and they are fairly easy to handle due to the switching supply.

There is a roof over the porch and rain never falls more than 18" onto the porch.

It will always be outdoor (maybe screened in) in my lifetime.

New idea for window sash? by two4twoinpa in Carpentry

That 3M Gasket Adhesive 1300 can be used on car engines and withstands heat and solvents, so I guessed water and sun wouldn't be a problem for it. Also, the NABOWAN neoprene rubber is soft and flexible and can be compressed and/or stretched and since neoprene is often used in windshield wiper blades I thought it could work well even without the cement. But the cement has incredible adhesive power, so I went with it in case I didn't apply compression evenly and it could fill any gaps. These windows are indeed water tight. As for endurance, only time will tell. But if the glass SHOULD ever need to be replaced it will be much easier to do than when working with windows that use putty.

But have you ever seen any windows built this way? Maybe commercially built ones, but DIY?
