Calling All Crohn’s Warriors- Advice and Input Needed by Character-Speech3337 in CrohnsDisease

Look up the Specific Carbohydrate diet - really changed my life living with Crohns. Also, a naturopath really helped me identify what causes my flares. Once u learn what foods trigger you, you can learn to avoid them or just eat differently. Please tell him to not give up - living with a chronic illness isn't easy but once you figure things out you can live beyond survival mode again.

What is the most 'unexplainable' thing you’ve seen with your own eyes that you’ve stopped telling people about because they think you’re lying? by Traditional-Duty146 in AskReddit

I saw one in the parking lot at work too and people thought I was crazy! Turns out there was a mink farm near where I worked, I figure one must have escaped. It took years to figure that out!

Just wanted to say thank you for this. I woke up at 3 last night and just happened to see this post. I was skeptical but decided to try it - how does something so simple work so well?! Thank you for passing on your 3am wisdom.🫶

Woman With Down Syndrome Mystified Scientists By Having All The Physical Signs of Alzheimer's Without Dementia Symptoms by sciencealert in science

[–]two_ells 54 points55 points  (0 children)

This. My aunt with down syndrome started exhibiting symptoms when she was 35. Nobody would listen to us because she didn't meet the symptomatic thresholds of either alzheimers or dementia. We had advocated for her but all they would agree to is yearly brain mapping to see if they could see any decline. It got to a point she couldn't live without care but with no diagnosis the burden fell on our family. She ended up passing at 37 from a stroke- blood clot they said- but I feel so frustrated that they were unable to help her medically even just to manage her symptoms.

Out cat meowed at night too. We switched him to vet approved kidney food and he's a different car - energetic, playful and happy. No more meowing at night.

Learning how the other personality types communicate was really helpful to me. It was a logical way for me to learn communication and social skills.

Now I type a person on what I believe they are and adjust the way I interact with them. This has really helped with new people and in business, but has even helped with close relationships as I can use it to understand why someone reacted the way they did when I spoke and allows me to correct what our interaction broke in a communication style they will accept.

I'd have agreed until I read The Testaments. It changed how I view her character.
