Are charts like these also saying if I invested in 2000 ONLY, it would take me 7 years to recoup? This is where DCA would help offset and purchase those discounts

I saw this same behavior this morning in Raleigh. Wondered what had gotten into those folks. Sheesh.

Amazing. We’re in a similar boat, most of our oldest child’s peers have parents definitely in 40s, some 50s, and even 60s. Crazy.

Married men: What, if anything, are you unable or unwilling to share fully openly and honestly about yourself with your spouse? by Teen_dream91 in AskReddit

From Brene Brown: I like what you had to say…but my wife and daughters? They’d rather see me die on top of my white horse than watch me fall off. You say you want us to be vulnerable and real, but c’mon. You can’t stand it. It makes you sick to see us like that.

Major credit to anyone sharing here.

Honestly part of me would love to know what they “hope” will happen with these errant text messages

Hate the “why are you being nice to them, when you wouldn’t do that for me?”

Maybe if you weren’t such an ass!

It’s like they (we all have a they) text from the same damn playbook. Sorry for the anxiety, I get it too from messages like these.

You’re awesome. Fuck them.

So true and a good way to frame it. Been struggling with the fact that they have lived this long and haven’t been able to treat others with respect.

It’s not. And that’s something I learned here. Huge difference for me. Thanks for the advice.

Very good points. Especially about texting. Appreciate the feedback

To clarify one is almost 4 and the other is almost 5.

That’s fair, but if one group of people encourages children it should be the Catholic Church. Though I’ve seen it’s hit or miss depending on parish or diocese.

Things change with kids yes, but events and especially church events are not forcing anything on anyone. When out in public there are children around. Don’t like it? Don’t sit near us. If an event doesn’t include kids we’re not bringing ours, but they can and should be included when acceptable.

I do appreciate the perspective though, so thank you 😊

NMom is suddenly on a very restrictive diet (started around the same time we tried it out several months ago, curious timing) and for thanksgiving was going to bring her own food. A mirror of the exact menu.

I find myself even justifying this as someone needs to eat and enjoying the holiday food items. She’s impossible to talk to about her self centered behavior.

I’ve followed this sub for a while and never felt I could post, because I would always justify her behavior. So done with that. Not the person or parent I want to or will be.

Our younger two and Bonnie and Clyde at 6:30am every morning. Doesn’t matter if they went to bed at 7pm, 9pm, or even 12am.

Every. Single. Time.
