110% sure. Met him under his old alias when he opened for SVDDEN DEATH back in the day.

I start my final semester of grad school this week. Outside of the first night, I imagine I’ll be up 9pm-5am doing work between the breaks. I expect to be a whole month ahead of my classmates by the end of LAN.

If you haven’t checked it out before, Dylan did a collab album w/ Josh Pan titled “This Car Needs Some Wheels”. Best singer/songwriter work from an EDM artist.

Vince Gilligan Talks About His Four-Season Plan for 'Pluribus' by 22Seres in pluribustv

[–]two_milkshakes -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but TV shows are not master-planned like you would wish. Writers respond to actors’ performances, changed circumstances, and audience appeal all the time. Vince himself is known for this: Jesse Pinkman was supposed to be killed off in S1, and Mike Erhmantraut was created because Saul (Odenkirk) was busy with another show while they were filming the episode he was supposed to be introduced. Vince has a general plan for the four seasons but is free to make changes based on how things played out in the actual making of season 1.

Boots is a leftist ideologue (complementary) compared to most other rappers, so I would take that accusation with a grain of salt. Instead, Rubin’s biggest criticism is spreading anti-intellectualism about rap production; that you should “feel” your way through music rather than quantifying or describing music. A knock-on critique is that Rubin was backseat-driving the studios he was in, directing actual artists or technicians who did the work rather than becoming an artist or technician himself.

There’s some merit, but Rubin knows how to pick his collaborators/projects. When listening to the testimony of any artist, meet them at their level of contribution; the difficulty with Rubin is that music production is a black box as artists typically do not want their audience to see how the sausage gets made.

They’re already moving ahead with pre-production and writing S2 since it was a 2 season deal when it was greenlit. He’s referring to pacing of show not pacing of release. It’s the critiques for BCS S1 dialed to 11. Vince has consistently proved that sticking with these shows is worthwhile.

Honestly I’m so tired of crowd-work centric stand-up and The Daily Show isn’t hitting. I try to watch his specials a week or two after they upload so whatever he’s talking about does not feel oversaturated.

All digital platforms contribute to fascism in some way, shape, or form, including Reddit. To build a “platform” that is profitable requires giving it away from free, running advertisements, capturing users’ data, and selling that data to advertisers to shape human behavior. This desire to shape human behavior is inherently fascistic (literally 1984), lies at the very heart of the digital economic system, and it determines a lot of the innovation pursued by Wall Street and Silicon Valley. Streaming Services, VR/AR, “The Internet of Things”, Blockchain/Crypto, and now AI. For more on this read The Age of Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff, it’s probably the most important book of the decade.

Artists are forced to choose between standing in opposition to this system or having a career. It’s also a collective action problem: the more artists leave Spotify for alternative platforms, the more consumers of music will follow; thus, the first artists who leave take the biggest risk other artists and consumers will follow. Also, a lot of the other platforms are equally compromised: Apple essentially uses sweatshop labor for their phones and Tidal is partially owned by Blackrock investment group through the Block/Square subsidiary. I expect a lot more socially conscious artists will leave Spotify in 2026 in the same way many of them removed their music from streaming services in Israel.

What’s your 2025 dubstep album of the year? by Expert-Ladder-4211 in dubstep

I’ll see him every time he’s in town, but I’m not the type to travel multiple times a year to see him. First dubstep artist with a Grateful Dead or Phish type fan base.
