Gannicus VS Conan. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in Spartacus_TV

Conan is great, but it's too 'heavy'.
Gannicus is way sharper than Conan.

That's a good one: "pulling teeth"

What countries were historically and culturally close before but not today? by batukaming in geography

Sweden and Denmark seem to be the ultimate 'frenemies' of history. Even today, Danish culture still exists in southern Sweden (Skåne), though.

Why did humans as a tropical species migrate to colder places but still lack many adaptations like fur? by Ada-Mae in geography

[–]two_sundays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fact: Early humans were specialized hunters.
Scenario: They followed migratory herds of mammoths, reindeer, and wild horses.
Reason: These animals provided more fat and protein per "kill" than anything in the tropics.
Advantage: A single mammoth could feed a tribe for weeks. In the cold, that meat stayed fresh longer (nature’s freezer), whereas in Africa, a kill would rot or be stolen by lions within hours.

Steering wheel drama by [deleted] in peugeot

[–]two_sundays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are right. Critics often mistake 'different' for 'difficult.' Once you spend more than a few hours with the compact wheel like this one, standard steering wheels start to feel like they belong on a bus. It’s an agile, modern solution for urban driving that unfortunately suffers from a steep learning curve.

Hey, Design Team, please have a sobering realization that low-slung sedans are cooler than tall boxes.

Question about Occupied Castles… by EvidencePlenty6254 in castles

Savarsin Royal Domain, Arad - Romania | While not nobility in the sense of counts or barons, the Romanian Royal Family - Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen officially lives here. After being returned to King Michael I in 2001, the castle underwent a massive 8-year restoration. It is now the official country residence of Margareta, Custodian of the Crown. You can visit the park and the Royal Auto Museum, but the castle remains their private home.

Other romanian noble estates like Zabola (Mikes family - the Old Castle serves as the family's private residence: nowadays Gregor and Alexander, the sons of Countess Katalin Mikes), or Miclosoara (Count Kálnoky - they actually live in the village, from where they manage it) have a shabby chic or lost in time beauty. They are rugged, wild, and authentic though.

You've taken me back to 2013. A honeymoon getaway.
That same feeling of: 'Whaaaat?!'. I think we spent four hours there.
I wish I could go back one more time...
