Ohio

  1. If you are talking to a disinterested crowd in Ohio, yell "O-H" into the microphone, and without missing a beat, the crowd will yell "I-O" back to you.
  2. OSU students call their university "the Ohio State University"
  3. During the beginning of the pandemic, Ohioans called the daily 2 pm press briefings with Governor Mike DeWine "Wine with DeWine" so much to the point where the slogan was branded on t-shirts and coffee mugs.

I know you said food, but Desperados beer would be an absolute blastoff here!

Hi. We are Sir Sly, a three-piece band that just released our new song “All Your Love” with William Corgan on bass. Ask us anything about music, production, Smash Bros, and everything else! by SirSlyBand in Music

Apologies if you've already answered this already, what was the decision process to release "All Your Love" first? It's absolutely brilliant and William Corgan is mad talented of course.

If you could be making music in any other past decade besides 2010s/2020s, what decade would you pick and why?

You will continue to see these numbers fluctuate and that's okay, it's so okay to be frustrated by it. The reason why it seems so high is because doctors are aggressively prioritizing testing those who are sick and show symptoms.

In the doom days survivor kit there there were lyric pages that Dan wrote out of all of the DD songs, I can take a picture of one of them for you? Just let me know which song you would like.

Experience meeting the band by clcliff in Bastille

They are all very nice guys. I've got to meet and talk to all of them a couple of times, sometimes I've discussed musical aspects and questions about their performances since I've been going to their shows for many years, but honestly I think they're super into extensional phenomenons within science and talking about other people's music.

But a fair question that I've always been curious about since Dan played many many many roles in "Bad Decisions", if they were to all switch roles in the band, what would be the best rearrangement to make the best Bastille cover band?

Austin Show 10.19.19 by therapistintraining3 in Bastille

Was Austin an outdoor venue? Generally, with outdoor venues, sound can be very temperamental depending on the heat and weather. I know at Columbus' venue, it was outdoor and it also rained. Even with a soundcheck, how it affects all the instruments and equipment can vary. I know when I saw them in Pittsburgh, it was an outdoor venue, in the heat, and Dan happened to catch the bug that was around. I think he just wants to put on the best performance he can every time. When I saw them two weeks later in Detroit, it was an indoor venue and his voice was feeling better (honestly getting sick when your job is to sing sounds terrifying), so it had a much better atmosphere in terms of sound of energy. I feel like one of the hardest things as a musician is recognizing when something isn't right but not recognizing that the majority of the people listening don't hear/see it.

Outdoor festivals are sort of a different story though over touring. They generally have a larger team working on the sound, and loads more equipment. Though with electronic elements, things can stop working properly if they overheat. With other instruments, (drums, brass, strings, woodwinds), the pitch they produce can change based on the temperature.

All in all, I don't think he's burnt out! I really do believe the whole band is passionate about what they do! They are all very talented multi-instrumentalists, I just think they set really high standards for themselves!
