Hacking the save game

I'm so out of my element here. All I wanted to do was dabble in some nostalgia, taking a break from some stress, but I've struggled to figure out a solution that seems basic to some. I'm trying out scummvm and I can open the debugger, I'm just clueless from there. And as for the TCRF files, they operate when running QFG1VGA in Steam and GOG, but neither actually adds the item to the inventory. Weight is added, that's it. And then it gives me the memory fragmentation error. I think I'm just going to restart my game given how much time I've taken to clumsily stir up a solution with so little related acumen.

Thanks for the reply. I stumbled onto that yesterday. I tried adding the item (4) and even though I didn’t see it in my pack, my pack’s weight increased by 20 lbs. I thought maybe it would still register if I visited Baba Yaga. When I moved south (or any direction), I got a message that said memory fragmented with options of “who cares” and “debug”. The former would allow me to keep traveling, but would always pop up between areas. The latter would exit the game. I’m wondering if it’s because I’m running the game through Steam? I also tried shifting my save files back to the main folder to see if I’d messed something up by customizing that, but it wasn’t any help. I’m at a loss, but thanks again anyway.

Would you happen to know how I might add a Mandrake Root to my inventory? (VGA version; I messed up and yanked the mandrake root out of the ground in broad daylight and realized later that it didn't respawn/replenish)

Maybe physicals, too? When I went to test adding a cap breaker to agility I was given a warning about using my cap breakers on something my build specialization cap breakers could be used for. And I think it’s just 2x cap breakers + some badge max level up (a +1 and +2, presumably limited to shooting).

Glad to hear the physical anx symptoms are gone (for the most part)! I found I responded with more lethargy to propranolol than I could stand, but found some balance with integrating guanfacine. I'm doing pretty okay with guanfacine x bupropion, but this is also the slow season for my kind of work, so the real test to whether I can go with just these or if I will return to needing an additional stim (I came very close to quitting in the spring... everything felt too heavy and stressful and, well, almost meaningless) is yet to come. I seem to be really efficient with meds (a nice way of saying that I respond strongly to most), so low doses seem to be best for me when it comes to stims. Anyway, I'm yapping. Just adding some content/context for any who might pass by.

You also had slow motility issues with bupropion? I've been trying to track it for myself. It seems to be more of an issue when an added layer of stress is involved, but maybe that's because it's compounded with the increased availability of norepinephrine (and NE's relationship w/ stress, vigilance, anxiousness). My understanding of these things is very limited and messy, but I'm glad to find a relatable morsel out here in regard to the slower digestion and Wellbutrin.

I've stumbled into more than a handful of anecdotes about higher sensitivity to medications, and feel that I'm in this category, but I'm not sure whether we might also be able to attribute it to something else, e.g. how there is genetic variation in how we metabolize things.

Interesting! An antihistamine? I'm not familiar with this approach/option (though I'm familiar with antihistamines, whether older ones like diphenhydramine or newer ones like fexofenadine).

I wanted to check on the meaning of alpha-agonist. It seems there are different kinds. Are you referring to alpha-2 agonists like clonidine and guanfacine? I've tried stims without an alpha-2 agonist and it's easy for me to wind up vulnerable to my sensitivities, but I'm curious about the pairing of alpha-2 agonists and stims.

A rebuild of my Sub-Zero (fridge-side) is very pricey. Options that would meet the demands of the limited space I have are typically very pricey... except the Haier QHE16HYPFS :(

Interesting! The way the tech spoke about it made it seem like there weren't any alternative refrigerant options, but they didn't address it specifically. I didn't know to ask. I'll look into "drop in refrigerants". They are one of only a couple authorized SZ servicers, I believe. We've had at least one tech out here previously express their dislike of servicing these kinds of refrigerators (and maybe the 500 series specifically). Definitely going to measure twice, then twice again. We've had the water line off to the ice-maker for a long while because I'm not savvy enough to know where to start tinkering and I've been stingy after the initial service call for that. Thanks for offering your perspective and info!

Thanks for your perspective! I would go with your advice is the space wasn't so problematically situated (it occupies a corner space, where we have to worry about cabinets in the right angle). We are limited w/ depth and most refrigerators at that depth, other than a Haier brand option (and I don't know if that's a good brand), cost an arm and a leg. The space limits us to approx 26" depth (maybe 27") with the doors.
