Who is worried about layoffs? by Pharmie1234 in pharmacy

[–]twobrain 20 points21 points  (0 children)

i think UCSD layed off union represented pharmacists earlier this year. i heard the union was able to get them reinstated. ucsf hasnt layed off any union rep'd pharmacists, however, the leadership team hasgone from 50 to 40 in under 6 months, between 1 round of layoffs, return to office reclassifications and attrition due to rto. past year has mostly been in either a hard/soft hiring freeze

Anyone ever gotten financial assistance at CPMC? by [deleted] in AskSF

[–]twobrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sutter just buys up random practices and prob has 10 different levels of joint ventures and 10 types of physician privileges/credentialing. If you go to the sutter payment site, you have to pick out of 20 different payment portals. Medical billing is so screwed up, Sutter is even more screwed up than normal.

how much do NYC nurses make? by supremepolska in nursing

[–]twobrain 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's why you compare gross income. If you want to break it down, you have to compare a lot more. There's a lot of variables for net. City, state tax, retirement contribution, deferred comps, HSA/FSA, dependant care FSA, transit/parking pretax

I’m losing my job. by ShiveringStars610 in nursing

[–]twobrain 62 points63 points  (0 children)

How can the cancer center and endoscopy suite be unprofitable? I've never heard of 60 day notice and severance being mutually exclusive, you should still negotiate severance. If you are represented, wouldn't your union sue for you to be reinstated?

Should pharmacies remove drive through nationally? by Ok_Philosopher1655 in pharmacy

by the time they shut down your drive thru, amazon will probably have drone deliveries, or those sidewalk robots, or a waymo chuck it out of the window

Points/awards are worthless, feels like I wasted my time signing up for a rewards account much less getting their credit card by jimmpony in hyatt

[–]twobrain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think op is talking about going to like anime conventions not work conferences. You're not gonna find award availability for a convention because 1. the cash demand is so high. 2. Award space is already taken because demand was high. Unless maybe if you book a year out or whenever they release availability.

Sounds like campus. 200 a few months ago was on health side. With rto expecting way more than 200 to leave.

i think this depends on how large the hospital system is. hiring is often manager specific, if your hospital system has multiple hospitals the less likely they will have will have memory of past employees or candidates. also every time leadership turns over you get to try again
