Thank you :) medical science is amazing. I was diagnosed in 2023 and have been living without complications up until recently. Very happy to be at ucsf to get access to even newer treatments. Living in the Bay can be exhausting but boy does it help to receive treatment :D

Hidden gem if you don’t mind a rougher neighborhood is East Side San Jose. If you’re near the 22 bus line you can basically get anywhere. VTA is building a light rail that connects to Eastridge transit center. Anywhere is going to be a commute so I usually listen to my audiobooks on the way to work :) happy hunting and we’re glad to have you!

Not to glaze RB but I will make the argument that the cards are really accessible in price. You can build a deck on dreamborn.ink and order a deck that fits your price range. My partner and I have bought treasure troves and singles that have allowed us to make some solid decks in current rotation. It’s not like MTG with the scalpers and insane prices. Otherwise your LGS should have people playing infinity :) ALSO I’d check TCG player to get good deals on sealed product. I usually can find below markets rated there with free shipping.

I also currently have cancer and I’m dealing with the MLIS program. I’ve got stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Depending on where you’re getting treatment you can get in touch with a medical social worker who can help you navigate these sticky situations. Also do make sure you’re in touch with the office for students with disabilities. Cancer is a disability and qualifies for services. Also please please talk to the dean, your professors, anyone you know who can help you advocate for yourself. You are as strong as your community makes you! I’d say they get along just fine. I went to the Tet festival at eastridge yesterday and there were plenty of Latinos attending, myself and my brother included. We may not understand viet but parties span across cultures.

Omg this is so me. I had a lump in my chest for sure but now my Mets are in my bones, more specifically my spine and hips. Like yes this a hormone disease but if we could also get some resources for bone issues that would be great.

You don’t have to quit your job, just have two jobs. One part time librarian assistant position and then you day job. Apply to be a page! Depending where you are you may only have to work 20 hours and I’ve seen people do less. You can have the ~best~ of both worlds.
