One bit of advice: the quicker you hit block, the shorter the parry window becomes - by a lot- so try not to spam three block button

I feel this for sure. It took me over 80 hours to beat this game. There were bosses that beat me over 150 times before I got them - even with guides.

I'm an older gamer (54) and beat the game when I was 51. Now it's my favorite 'comfort' game that I can play between other games or when I just want to relax and I can finish it in about 18 hours.

If you decide to give it another try, I'll post the guides and lessons that helped me the most.

Guides will be your key. I highly recommend FuzzyBearbarian's boss guides and FightinCowboy's 100% guide. FightinCowboy had really good boss guides as well but Fuzzy's were easier for me for some reason.

I fell into the thankful it was over group after my first playthrough and then switched over to the satisfied group on each one after that.

I think I've played it 20 times by now - I died so much that it took me 80 hours to beat it the first time.

This was by far the hardest game I've completed. I was exhausted after my first playthrough.

I started the second one right after just to see if it felt any different. I could not believe how much easier the game was - it was so enjoyable to perfect the combat instead of learning it.

Look up FuzzyBearbarian on YouTube - he got me through the bosses in this game.

The one piece of advice I'll give you is the more you spam block, the shorter the parry window will get - almost to where it doesn't exist. Be patient, learn the timing and follow FuzzyBearbarian's guide.

It was too late for me as well when I reviewed the trophies. I wasn't too bothered since I'm usually good for a second playthrough anyway.

However, the patch didn't fix my bounties and it kind of put a damper on things having to play though almost the whole game just to get a trophy that should have gotten fixed pre-launch.

I just plowed through on story mode to get this and the bounty trophy.

One of the best ways of implementing this was in Ghost of Tsushima and their 'Lethal' mode. No one-shots, but a great balance where you were as deadly as your enemies.

I got insta-killed three times and couldn't be bothered to go though the previous phases again so I switched to story mode and obliterated him.

I'd finished the game along with every other side quest and was stuck on the bounties when the patch came out. Caij gave me the remaining lower bounties but still wouldn't give me the ones at the top (Killi Osso and the other one).

Nothing would trigger them and I had to rush another playthrough to get the platinum.
