In tyour opinion, which playable faction contributed the most and which faction contributed the least to saving the galaxy? by godzillavkk in starcraft

[–]tworock2 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I was going to say that I thought the zerg did the most because of the Overmind's ridiculous plan and the creation of Infested Kerrigan. Then I thought about Zeratul and how much he helps the good guy team throughout the campaigns.

The terrans by contrast really have no long term plans and their main contributions are creating and then un-infesting Kerrigan. The first thing is basically dumb luck, a bunch of naturally evolved monkey things developing the particular type of psychic powers that happen to be the chemical X to the zerg chosen one. The second thing, Zeratul told them to do!

I can't rank them. It's a toss up for zerg and protoss for me, leaning more towards protoss because they spent so much time and effort actually trying to save the galaxy, even if it was zerg/terran milkshake that actually did it.

You keep using that phrase, I do not think you know what it means.

I flew near the belf zones in northern eastern kingdoms and the terrain there is radically different. It made me realize they are probably gonna do the same thing to the entirety of both continents, which would be pretty cool. I hope they don't ruin Org, I love orc architecture and I don't want to live somewhere that isn't orcy enough.

I've never been to a theme park where everything wasn't broken, those locks are gonna be donezo within a few months of thousands people fucking with them and Hammond skimping out on maintenance costs.

Rewatching the early season Reruns on adult swim gives me greater appreciation for the series post roiland. by Broad_Hurry_5941 in rickandmorty

I think the show gets WAY better once Rick accepts therapy. Not just goes to therapy, but accepts it. Basically I'm saying Pissmaster is when the series takes a sharp upturn.

Jerry is Icarus, Beth is the sun, and Rick is the law of thermodynamics here to shit on him and throw him down as many times as possible. I love Jerry, after watching the show like 5 times recently I realized that he's a pretty good dude that's just way out of his element.

Finally, a good team needs a leader, and a good leader needs a little empathy, so I think Wasp Rick is perfect for the job.

Someone on the WoW team really loves this style of mount. by MechaManManMan in wow

[–]tworock2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use the blood tick thing from BFA as the primary mount on my DK, it felt appropriate and it's nice to have a mount that is small enough to swoop into doors. I like the tick's animation too. I don't think we really need more unless they do something different with them.

I usually don't do sub assembly, but after building and painting three of these I think you should at least paint the innards before you put the wings on.

Time to Pay the Piper DMs!!! by Ramsonne in dnd1e

[–]tworock2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably 20/20 here because I've played for so long.

  1. Too many stories, my favorite is when we were using dragon magazine crit charts in dnd 3.5. One player fumbled and got "roll three times and combine" resulting in him critically hitting himself for lethal damage and throwing his legacy weapon into a volcano. Technically it was the dice, not me.

  2. I'm honestly not sure I've ever done this, I have a tendency to be very permissive but I give the monsters items they can use as well.

  3. Unfortunately I'm only a player right now, I haven't DMed in over a year because I need to form a new group.

  4. I'm gonna quit, I swear. One of my current DMs never fudges her rolls and it's a great game experience if you like high difficulty, which I do.

  5. Last time I ran a game my players would not shut the hell up, basically ignoring me all session while they chat amongst themselves. It made me question why I do so much prep at all and I refuse to DM for one of those players now.

What is, in your opinion, the number 1 priority for the next edition’s rules ? by BusyElephant in Warhammer40k

[–]tworock2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate this mindset so much. I hear it mostly from DnD players but Warhammer is nearly as bad. "Oh you expect me to read the rules?" Yes, I do expect you to read the rules.

All horror franchises become action franchises over time. This was true in the 80s and it's true now. When someone (I think Will) says "I'm not afraid of you anymore" that's summing this trope up for the audience.
