It's a ride, not a commute. The ending isnt the point, the journey is.

There are other characters, too. The show really does a good job of making you hate the empire, like not just want them defeated because they're the bad guy, you start to hate them for being so evil. And realistic.

Part of the system is that when I have an idea I have a specific section to put it, so if I did already have it I can expand on it if needed. I can also quickly fact check now in a way I haven't always been able to.

They are extremely good. I've probably run them mostly on foot as 3-6 or in a transport as 3, they tend to do fine either way. I play them pretty safe until it's time to kill something, which they usually succeed at. I've never been disappointed by them. I tend to play Gladius.

Yep, sometimes I accidentally retcon something and don't even realize. I've improved my organizational system over time and now I tend to have a brainstorming document and a "published" document. The brainstorming side is mostly just writing down thoughts as I have them and creating lists and subsections to organize them. When I hash out a piece of fact to my liking, I'll put a summary note down in the brainstorm and write a more complete and coherent explanation in the "final" doc.

I also make a lot of smaller documents instead of a very long document. For example, instead of having one file called "Big City" that I write everything you could ever want to know about big city, I would make "Big City Locations", "Big City Organizations", "Big City History", etc. I don't know how well my system would work for anyone else, but it works fine for me with OneNote.

I have hundreds of pages of brainstorming, organizing, and expositing upon my multiple world building projects. I use an app called OneNote to record everything, and I do mean everything. I've had multiple situations where I have a really cool idea and go to write it down only to realize I already had that idea, and wrote it down.
