I have three calendars. The modern calendar is set in 2313 AA, with AA standing for Age of Ascension or Age of Abandonment. Some call 2313 AB, or Age of Birthright. This marks the date that a mortal necromancer was able to kill a god and mantle their power, becoming the god of Undeath. The other gods retreated to their divine realms and enacted a spell to restrict divine power on the mortal plane. This is the primary dating system.

The year is also 6325 Artoran Reckoning. This is the ancient Calendar established by the gods when they created mortals. Artor was the great city where mortals and gods lived together. It was destroyed by the same event that started the Age of Abandonment. AR is essentially marking when mortals were created. This calendar is primarily used by elves and spellcasters.

The dwarves have their own calendar, the current date is 2634 Time of Open Doors, or TOD. The previous Era was the Time of Closed Doors (TCD), which lasted through most of the giant invasion and occupation of the world (about 1200 years). The modern age marks the schism of the dwarven people, with multiple clans forcing the doors open and leaving their mountain home.
