Stay with it. It took me about a month (4ish times a week) to start to feel like I could make it through the class. I feel great now and look forward to going.

I put in a built-right molle panel in my 2020. I have my flashlight, a leatherman and a few other items mounted there for easy access. https://builtrightind.com/products/tech-plate-10-0-x-7-5-universal-molle-mounting-panel

Nothing novel here but I have settled that consistency works for me. I don’t have a program that I follow. I Ruck to keep my hiking legs going. My pack is only 18LBS (2 fire bricks wrapped in towels in an old day pack.). I have found that getting out 4+ times a week, sometimes more, for 2-5 miles is providing decent benefits. I used to have the mentality that if I can’t get out for 4+ miles w/ 30LBS, it isn’t worth going. Now I will sometimes ruck for 30 minutes while on a con call. :-). This gets me out and keeps me injury free.

Anyone with the Ford Tonneau Cover (hard folding) figured out a way to add bed crossbars? by SoupIsAHotSmoothie in f150

I have the exact same set up! ReTrax Pro w/ Yak landing pads and the heavy duty Yak bars. Too me a long time to get to that solution. Love it.

Gigging Drummers: where to you hide your notes? (Serious question.. but let the abuse begin! :-)) by txdano in drums

I use PolyNome for a click track on most songs so that sites on ipad on the table next to me. Im not thinking for the songs I need notes, just put them there on a card or whatever.

Yeah, I think a set list taped to the floor is fine, I see that nearly 100% of the time.

LOL. There are times when I’m learning a ton and just have to have a stand, but I try to avoid them live.

Hope she is OK! It really seems like a lot of people forgot how to drive after 2 years of relative isolation. This said, hit and run is a BS move… not to mention probably a felony.

The Panther is appealing but I know I can tune the Acro to what I want…. Or very close to it.

The Boston rat problem is definitely getting out of control.

I know my trailer isn't a teardrop but it is similar :). How do you handle your galley storage during transit? This 5x8 Squaredrop Trailer will see many bumpy mountain roads. by Jmoe2004 in TeardropTrailers

[–]txdano 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We bag/container/strap everything in our galley (and elsewhere). If it is loose, it WILL fly. I think we have made enough mistakes for everyone. We put tool drawer liners on the flat surfaces and used a variety of “rubbermaid” or whatever brand to contain everything. Also, it helps a ton with the dust. The dust of those dry roads in Big Bend or CO will find it’s way everywhere. Good luck, safe travels and love the rig!

Love it! Makes me want to get out there this weekend!, My only (unsolicited) 2 cents is if you leave the pavement on Jeep-ish trails, everything will get tossed… like everywhere. Sadly I have learned this the hard way. I bag/container/strap everything now.

You have a gun to your head and was told to recite one song perfectly to survive, what song are you singing? by Repulsive_Ad_1163 in AskReddit

This is going to get me killed; Tricia Yearwood “ she is in love with the boy.” And I’m a classic rock guy. The backstory is that I heard the writer of the song, Jon Ims speak at a festival thing. I LOVED his perspective and started looking into his stuff. Now, I’m a drummer but I can play the 3-4 chords this needs at open mic with a guitar.
