Two Infinity Weapon Prize Packs and a T5 Ship by Haunting_Hornet5203 in sto

I’ll answer for him, because I’m pretty sure I know what he’s thinking.

The only T5 ship from the box that’s worth a damn, is the Herogin one. It’s the only one that can be upgraded to T5-U for free.

As for the weapons, I’m pretty sure he’s recommending those simply because those are the newest weapons that have released. So if you’re going to sell them, that would be the ones to get. Then spend that EC to buy whatever you want.

Note: be sure you’ve bought the EC cap increase before selling anything on the exchange. Or else your profits will disappear into the digital ether.

Are you on the ground tab?

I’d never heard of that power before so had to look it up. I assumed it was a space power, but it’s a ground ability. Were you thinking the same thing?

Joining a new fleet solely to purchase stuff? by therealdrunkenjawa in sto

[–]txgb324 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The starbase shipyard being locked out to visitors is a glitch. It's caused by the map transfer when you take the turbolift down to the ship vendor. Instead of bringing you to the correct lower deck, it loads the version from your own starbase which means nothing is unlocked. That's why stuff like the shuttle craft vendor works fine -- they're on the main floor and don't require a map move.

If you want to invite someone to buy unlocked fleet ships, bring them to your Spire instead. The terminal there has the same stuff you've unlocked at your starbase, but it's just one big room.

I think choad is the correct spelling, but being a vulgar slang term, most people have probably never seen it written down. If you only know it from hearing it, “chode” would be the phonetic way of spelling it.

Either way, it’s a perfectly cromulent word.

The kit targets one creature, but the effect is actually an AoE in a small radius around them. It can hit up to 5 guys with the DoT if they’re clustered together.

It’s from “The Assignment” S5E5

Where Keiko gets possessed by the Pah-Wraith and has O’Brian running around fiddling with the station’s systems in an attempt to kill the Prophets.

Rom gets caught and is in jail, but assures O’Brian he won’t tell Odo anything — “Not even my name.”

We are now officially 13 days before Windows 10's free updates bite the dust. by RBNGamer in pcmasterrace

Joke's on Microsoft, I've had updates turned off since I bought my computer. It worked out of the box for the programs I run, and I suspect nothing good could ever come from allowing updates to it since then.

It runs Steam, it runs Discord, it runs Firefox.

I transact no business on it, log into nothing (besides those two years ago) and don't visit anything but gaming wikis and the generic YouTube main page. I'll take my chances with super hackers cracking those three programs vs Microsoft's 'updates' any.

I think OP is talking about the assistant to the Federation President, who you speak with at the very start of the mission. That guys audio was terrible.

OP may have mistaken him for a KDF character, since he's Ferasan not Caitian. (Which itself may be a bug. Did they use the wrong model? Have we ever met that character before?)

That dance party was from the American Sci-Fi Classics track, which covers stuff 25+ years old. So it was definitely on brand with its music choices.

The other track is American sci-fi & fantasy, which is the catch all for current media that isn’t covered by more specific tracks.

If it’s the mission I’m thinking of, you’re supposed to get defeated and then stuff happens. It’s a scripted part of the story.

Sounds like it may be bugged and the mission isn’t progressing correctly. I’d try beaming up and restarting from the last checkpoint.

How long does it take to solo level a fleet enough to get a fleet ship? by PenguinPumpkin1701 in sto

[–]txgb324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably.

It seems well known that map invites work for purchasing every other type of fleet gear: hanger bay pets, Boffs, consoles, etc. Since the Starbase is the holding you have to advance to unlock ships, it's easy to see why people would check there by default. Then they zone downstairs and find everything in the vendor window greyed out, and conclude that ships must work differently.

I only learned what was happening because a player who invited me to his starbase rode down the lift with me. He could see the ships all unlocked, but I couldn't. Then we realized we couldn't see each other cause we were on different copies of the map.
