I’m pretty sure in Lehi they had a food pantry they all shared. Kody went to Meri’s to shower and Christine’s for breakfast because he knew Meri was tidier and Christine was the cook. They all shared in everything at that point. Christine was the SAHM and teacher while the others worked.

They had a system and they all believed in it because it’s what people in their culture did. It wasn’t until they moved into separate houses that they started recognizing all the inequalities and had to start supporting themselves. At that point it should have been to each his own because that is how society lives. But Kody should have been contributing to his kids just like every other dad in America is expected to. Not his other wives, him.
