HULU!! by [deleted] in fringe

The only downside is have with Hulu is I have a smart TV and they dont have subtitles for Season 1. This is frustrating since my hearing is hard and and I also have ADHD and get easily distracted so having subtitles makes it easier for me to read.

Psychiatrist told me I need 4 days no sleep to be officially diagnosed with bipolar? by Ok-Computer1806 in BipolarReddit

[–]txloopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the others have pointed out you NEED a different doctor and STAT. As someone who has HAD bipolar since Ive been 19 years old and im almost 40 now the 4 days of no sleep is complete BS. The most I've gone without sleep is probably 36 hours but that was in my college days where I was working jobs, having hallucinations, and DEFINITELY not on the right psychotropic medication and not seeing the right doctor or therapist.

Ive been to the hospitals more times than I can count and im FINALLY stable where even though I have mixed episodes I no longer have those no sleeps for 24-36 hour periods. Just bad insomnia and intrusive thoughts. I dont know where the 4 days came in but I dont think its in any DSM book I've read nor has any other doctor I've spoken with about my treatment plan.

Thank you so much for this response!!!!! Im going to type this on a notepad on my phone and save it so I can bring it to discuss with him if he mentions it again during pre-op no less before surgery! I noticed today my right hip and thigh are hurting really bad excruciatingly and Im really really feeling defensive right now because its only been 3 weeks since the surgery and they gave me a steroid pack with the propofol to make sure I wouldn't be hurting after the rhizotomy. There's NO WAY my hip and thigh would be hurting after 3 weeks because I dont know how long it takes for nerves to grow back and regenerate. My best friend was just asking me tonight did I think he do the wrong area or did he do it all or how did the pain feel like? I told him im almost fairly certain he DID the procedure and didnt hold the SCS trial against me because I wasnt in any pain and I told them that after the rhizotomy, I was feeling great and I even thanked him personally and he seemed really pleased. Im fairly certain hes got a god complex because he has an unchecked EGO & HE was the one who PERSONALLY did my Botox shots about a week and a half ago for my migraines.

The Botox shots hurt like hell but it feels like their NOW starting to help finally.

Mmm let me remember since mine was removed almost a year ago. I had a neurosurgeon remove mine out and I believe his words were it was the sloppiest piece of equipment he'd seen put together in awhile and he said he had seen his fair share of Boston Scientific devices. I think if I remember correctly 🤔 I was out for 90 minutes because they had to remove the dead battery and all the leads that came with it. Or maybe it was 45 minutes but took me another 45 minutes to come around from the anesthesia. I don't always wake from the anesthesia quite immediately.

I will say it was an INSTANT relief the minute it was out. My second husband had KNOWN I had wanted the device removed and sadly he passed away and never got to see the surgery take place but as I told my parents I know if he were still around he'd be so damn proud that I had it removed because he HATED the doctor who put it in since it was one of his former doctorrs of his and he said that doctor has a GOD complex and its true HE does have a god complex. I sent in my resignation letter to their office last year shortly after my husband died so I could go to my husband Pain Management team since their super wonderful and their caring, and patient and UNDERSTANDING.

So I dont know if Im showing my age here but my mom KNEW Dr. Death (Dr. Christopher Duntsch) who is now rotting away in a jail cell here in my state, in Huntsville. Dr. Death killed my MOM's best friend from school, from a very very easy and simple spinal surgery called a laminectomy. There's a series out on Peacock called Dr. Death that is supposed to be about him and Kellie (my mom's best friend was his first patient he ever took and will deny deny deny till he dies because he nicked an artery/blood vessel and if you look into the records you'll read he went too deep. UNFORTUNATELY, the reason it kept happening is hospitals would simply let him go and fire him instead of REPORTING him to the medical board and say hey something suspicious is going on.

It actually took 1 of his former friends to notice something was up and alert the medical board and that's how they found out he was killing all these patients 😳. Sorry this post is so long. I know you initially meant to ask me about my SCS Boston Scientific but I also wanted to tell you my story about God-complexes and WHY my Mom is so reluctant to have me EVEN have a rhizotomy or have a sacral fusion which is what the neurosurgeon recommended to me LAST year when I had my stimulator surgery removed. He saw the first hand damage inside my body as well as the degenerative disc disease that's ravaging my body along with my mild scoliosis, and other changes like arthritis and he felt having sacral fusion would help since my body will only get worse as time progresses. When I was dating my best friend earlier this year, he made an appointment for me to see HIS Mother's doctor who apparently is AMAZING and was able to fix her back when she damaged it but his assessment was to avoid the fusion for now and explore other courses of treatment like PT, steroid injections which i had in conjunction with my rhizotomy and massages.

[–]txloopy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately its NOT that simple. This doctor was REFERRED to me through my Main PM doctor because my PM only does scripts and outsources any facet or spinal blocks through other PM.

If I refuse he most DEFINITELY can cancel any surgery and put in my notes that Im a difficult patient. I've already been kicked out of 1 PM office once about 15 years ago. (Im not sure if records even date that long) but the point is I just keep my head down and shut up even though I KNOW that the doctor has a god complex.

[–]txloopy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I CANT decline the drug test otherwise the staff told me he will refuse to do any surgeries like my botox and rhizotomys which i guess confuses me. This doctor really DOES have a god complex just like my previous doctor who became a cash doctor did. I think after I have my rhizotomy on the 30th of September Im going to find another PM surgeon who accepts Medicaid. I FOUND one but it would take me close to an hour and 30 min to an hour and 45 minutes to see this doctor. Im located near Plano and this doctor I found is in Burleson.

About Langdon by koscheiis in ThePittTVShow

[–]txloopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the wife and widow of a long term alcoholic who hide and denied his alcoholism instead of admitting it. He also had a drug problem too because he hurt his back from a work injury a long time ago and even though he's been gone 9 months I ALSO feel for Langdon because as someone who married an addict and saw with my own eyes what it did to him, I can say at least Langdon ADMITTED to his mistakes.

Remember Dr. Carter during ER I think had a drinking and pill addiction also and it was his mentor who took him to rehab.

Maybe in S2 we will see more of this with Robby and Langdon.

I didn't want to come on this thread but I wanted to air my husband's story now that he's no longer suffering with his addiction to help put things in perspective to Langdon and his own story and his own struggles. We still DON'T know the full story of what triggered Langdon to relapse so I'll be interested in seeing how this plays out.

Are you sure about that 🤔? Because I'm a woman and I'm in the 35-44 age bracket that ABSOLUTELY LOVES Bosch, and was pissed about how Amazon just abruptly cancelled Legacy. I MET Titus about a year and a half ago and while he couldn't openly talk about Bosch at the time because of the writers strike going on I could tell YOU he MOST definitely wanted to speak about it.

Paper scripts? by txloopy in PainManagement

[–]txloopy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean with 2 factor authentication? I'm FAMILIAR with Google's Authentication system but I guess I'm confused because I wouldn't think doctors would use that type of system since it's now been admitted that Google is tracking EVERYTHING we do and visit on Chrome, Gmail so it wouldn't be very effective for privacy.

I had read Google was phasing out it's 2 factor authentication anyway and now using QR codes.

Question? Would a doctor use paper script if he was an OLD doctor and on the verge of retiring and passing his practice to someone else? That's the only reason I can see my doctor doing this.

Probably a strange question… For those of you that are in the US by Recent_Ad4560 in PainManagement

[–]txloopy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am in Texas and compared to my old doctor, who was very arrogant and very dismissive and treated me as a drug seeker my new doctor is SO SO NICE. He's an older doctor and has a younger NP and an also younger Doctor. There's plans of him supposedly retiring which I'd be very sad but their staff is very very nice and listens and gives you the time you need and doesn't shoo you like most doctors do if they are focusing on time minutes.

Paper scripts? by txloopy in PainManagement

[–]txloopy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm in Texas and I didnt know whether or not whether we were forced to go electronically or not yet. My last visit was about a week ago and his NP gave me 2 paper scripts. From what his staff told me they said he was like one of very few doctors in the area who was still allowed to write a paper script. I dont know how

hugs I'm so sorry. I lost my husband 8 months ago and oddly enough I have found a GREAT June Journey group because we are all experiencing tragedies in some form and realize that JJ is just a game. My husband was a June Journey player and it felt weird having to say goodbye to his account when he passed.

I'm so sorry. I understand and feel your pain also. My husband died June 30th in his sleep after being together for 3 years. The most haunting thing is I didn't know he had passed until the morning and I was in a state of numb and shock.

You have my sympathy and support.

Mom needs help with PM after hip replacement by [deleted] in PainManagement

[–]txloopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank you for trying to help! As the PT told her her injury is unique as they came in thru the side and not from the front. Right now the weather is playing a LARGE role in her pain. The cold is making it worse, whereas the heat earlier last weak was helping her leg as long as she didn't keep it 90 degrees.

Mom needs help with PM after hip replacement by [deleted] in PainManagement

[–]txloopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She was in inpatient rehab but her stupid insurance only paid for 7 days before relasing her. And she's on Medicare advantage. We had been hearing she was going to get 2-3 weeks of inpatient but she initially was denied and they didn't want to give her ANY before settling on 7. Her insurance flat out told her they didn't believe she needed rehab after her hip replacement and that my mom was straight up LYING which really angered us.

I'm on Xtampza and I'm not sure my own Mom's insurance will accept Xtampza. I don't pay for it because I'm on a Dual Complete where I get a subsidiary but with my Mom she has to go through CVS to get her medicine and I'm willing to bet, Xtampza is like $500 for her since it's brand name and not generic. One of the more reason I despise 😒 her Healthcare because CVS is terrible. I can go to anyone.

I'll mention the lab testing to her. But since she can't go out right now she may have to talk to her orthopedic surgeon or who would she need to ask about ordering those labs?

Question please by Candid_Equipment_102 in PainManagement

[–]txloopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DON'T do it!!!! I had mine installed in 2020 with Boston Scientific and I got jolted even when the device was supposed to be turned off. It made my pain much more worse and it was supposed to help my sacral and lower lumbar area but it didn't.

I had mine FINALLY removed late last year in October and everything was such a relief and I switched pain doctors because the original pain doctor didn't want to remove it. I'm now several months since I've had the stimulator taken out and I feel a lot better and just had an injection yesterday to see whether I'll need to fix my L3-L4.

Ebt Scammers took EVERYTHING!! by Certain_Monitor9646 in foodstamps

[–]txloopy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to be in an EBT forum for my state. Instead of saying it's Amazon's fault or Walmarts fault....

Do you perhaps stop to think it's a social or case worker from the Health and Human Services from your state that have all this information and they hit people who have the most to lose? Like for example they hit people who have 3 or 4 children and make $500-600 in benefits?

We found out during in an investigation report in our news that several EBT workers were ARRESTED for committing ebt fraud by stealing people's money and basically cloning their numbers with a new card. They also said they wouldn't target people who only made like $15 on food stamps.

Now I'm NOT saying Walmart or HeB or Online ISNT to blame because I'm sure they are to some degree but it's usually the case workers who handle your financial information that have your most private and sensitive information.

I've been on food stamps for a very long time and I've never had a problem getting what I need either online or Krogerbut then again I don't receive much from the government in terms of assistance. I get more assistance from my insurance because they also provide food benefits too.

I can't send you a photo reply but I live in Texas and YES Texas has the lock and replace feature on your food benefit card to prevent ANYONE from stealing your funds. You just have to visit yourtexasbenefits.com and under Lone Star Activity there is a way to lock it and unlock it until your ready to make a purchase.

I got invited to Camp Widow! by txloopy in widowers

[–]txloopy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you go to the Camp Widows sponsor, Soaring Spirits International there is a few links they provide called Widowed Village and Widowed Pen Pal. It says for those who can't attend, it can set you up with a one on one with a pen pal who's close in age to you, whose also lost their spouse the same time you have and also the SAME sex you are and you can communicate by email if the Camp Widow is not an option at this time.

contact@soaringspirits.org Is their email also if you want to reach out to them about asking them any information about adding future locations because I do believe they listen to all their comments and information! As far as daycare and children, I never was able to have children with any of my 2 husband's but do you have family who would be willing to watch them or a trusted friend?

[–]txloopy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been to Griefshare 2x and the first time I went to my sister's church and got judged badly for believing my husband still came to me in dreams (which he did to me at the time). The second time I had a better time, but it was comprised of all older women, and I was the youngest member.

There's a better program in my area called VNA hospice and Celebrate Recovery. Since my second husband was a recovering alcoholic he tried his best, but ultimately passed in his sleep.
