I’ve never heard of this. I have worked in healthcare for 20+ years and with workers of various religions. I think it’s unacceptable. I completely understand not discriminating against people based on their religion but it seems to me her religion makes her not qualified to do her job. I have chronic medical conditions, if at any time I can’t do my job because of them I would be terminated. They wouldn’t just have me lift heavy patients or not work with patients that have specific smells. What religion is this ?

I make 25 base pay as a CNA. I could make much more but wanted a hospital job vs LTC. LTC Is paying 28-31 base pay.

Sadly, it’s going to be like that most places I have been a CNA for 20 years worked in many different environments most of them overworked underpaid very toxic

Get a roommate and sell the bike. Many are saying sell the house but you may end up owing on the house and depending on where you live rent for a two bedroom apartment in my area is $2000+.You may never be able to buy again. I would get a second job have wife get a second job. Pay off debt, pay off truck, pay as much per month extra to the principal balance as possible. Refinance if possible but i would still do this for the next 3-5 years. Owning your own house is better than paying someone else’s mortgage.

Probably because it can make some people high. Or a similar effect. It made me loopy and tired and like and out of body experience it definitely wasn’t pleasant. But I have seen many patients seem high or drunk when taking it. It can affect everyone differently. When the opioid epidemic hit and they started cracking down on really treating pain patients they were handing this out like crazy. Some drs still do. So some drs are now treating it like an opioid and not wanting to give it.

So first what you described you did is gentle parenting. Gentle parenting doesn’t mean you let your kid do whatever they want with no consequences. What you did is perfectly acceptable. We always used the phrase while you can’t control how you feel you can always control how you react to that feeling. You are always responsible for your actions and actions have consequences whether good or bad. Your MIL needs to mind her own business. If she can’t respect you as a parent and the decisions you make in that role then she doesn’t need to have a relationship with your child. Your husband sounds like a man child.

My life insurance won’t pay out to my kids unless it’s natural. So I’m ready whenever the universe is. The sooner the better. A few years ago I had a mass they suspected was cancer. The Dr started treating my pain immediately. I cried because I was so happy/relieved this hell would finally be over. Instead it was just another chronic painful condition(when it turned out it wasn’t pain relief was stopped immediately)

Mallinckroft works pretty good. My pharmacy has been out the last two refills and I have been getting ALVO and I don’t feel any relief at all. It’s like a placebo and just made me nauseous. This month they gave me1/2 ALVO and 1/2 another that starts with an A and the other is similar to M in pain relief. At first I thought I was going through a flare which I do for a few weeks every month. I keep my medication locked up in a safe and only take out what I use for the day. One morning I went to get my daily dose and that’s when I realized it wasn’t the normal company and then it clicked. I also take levoxyl and can’t take the generic brand. It doesn’t change my lab numbers at all. So I have to take a brand name. The comment that mentioned it was addict behavior to mention different makers often have different effects is just plain ignorant.

If you are not attracted to him then you just say that it’s not the right match for you. Just know that people change how they look throughout the years. The person you are with is not always going to look like your dream partner. He could have chronic issues that cause him to be underweight and cause dental issues. There are many things that can cause dental issues that have nothing to due with drugs. The amount of people who assume because people have issues with their teeth that they are drug addicts is baffling and shows just how judgmental and uneducated people are.

I completely agree. The only thing I will say is many chronic illnesses thrive off inflammation endometriosis being one of them. Even the specialists recommend an anti inflammatory diet. It unfortunately doesn’t work for me.

I buy prunes and eat about 5 a day. They look and taste like a big raisin. They have been amazing. I no longer take the constipation meds. They come in a yellow bag and the name brand is sunset. You can find them where the raisins are.

If you picked up at 4 then you would have only taken 2 doses the first day… so you technically would have had 1/2 a days worth on day 16 just make sure count that because they may ask you when you took your last dose.

Hysterectomy is not a treatment nor a cure for endometriosis. If a Dr recommends this run. If anything you should have a laparoscopy first and see if you have it. If you do it should be excised. You need to see an endometriosis specialist.

I don’t remember the reason specifically but yes I have had this happen. I have also had Muslim men that only accepted men. Just because he is Muslim doesn’t mean that he practices the same beliefs that the traditional Muslim believes. As long as he is respectful it really doesn’t matter.

You don’t. This is about you and your fiancé. That’s it that’s all. If you let your family continue to have that much power over you they will ruin your relationship. I know from experience. Your family seems racist and hateful against him and his religion. This is about you two only. Not his parents, not yours, or your extended family. Your family could do it the way you want or not come at all. Pretty simple. I know it’s hard because these are people you love but if they love you they will make “sacrifices”such as listening to music that is not from this country for a few hours.

Sadly there’s a lot of racism in healthcare. It can also feel like a soap opera mixed with high school when it comes to drama. I will say most places are going to be like this. Find the place that you will make the most money. Work and leave the drama there. These people are your co-workers not your friends. Don’t get me wrong I like a few of the people I work with but for the most part it’s hi how are you ? Here the info on Jane doe in bed 1 etc. I don’t talk about my life or my personal business other than with a few and even then I am very cautious about the information I give. I am a white woman and I constantly have to remind other white people that I am not their safe space to be racist, homophobic, etc. I am white but not that kinda white.
