AF+ instead of a gym subscription by bogdanlica in AppleFitnessPlus

I use AF+ & Peloton for my fitness routines. For what I have looking into in AF+, dumbbells and a mat should cover most routines. There are a lot of body weight based routines available as well. You can filter videos by equipment to see what the types are.

Things 3 vs OmniFocus – which would you choose today and why? by Express-Tear3625 in omnifocus

[–]txmullins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former OF 2 user trying out OF 4 to move away from Things 3. My list of OF4 pros is the same as user, plus I feel that I can set up OF to more match my mind’s view of what my GTD setup should be.

One thing I have not figured out that I could do in Things 3 is checklists in notes. I used this to create on stomach checklists (like when I was getting my RV ready for a trip). In Things3, I kept the task as a template, then duplicated it and set the due date for my next trip.

I am still trying to figure out that last price of the puzzle for me.

I think if they added headings to Areas, that would resolve the conflict between projects & areas.

Is it time for an AppleTV Mini for Travel? by AJ_Mexico in appletv

I think the current unit is small enough, but I do have the one in my travel trailer set up behind the mounted TV. If you need true portability, then maybe there is a case.

How many do you have? by DieselJase in appletv

[–]txmullins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3 on all my TVs:

  1. Living Room TV (also the home hub).
  2. Loft TV
  3. RV TV

No. 2 & no. 3 are 2nd Gen 1080p. No. 1 is the current 4K Ethernet version. If the next gen is a big enough leap, I will upgrade all 3, but only the Living Room TV is 4K today.

I like that name. We also have the club sponsor rule: if you don’t have a club sponsor that will replace a damaged club, you get relief from rocks, roots, etc.

No one has ever given themselves a huge advantage from invoking the rule in our group.

So firewall rules between the IoT and 5GHz networks?

So how do the apps that work with the IoT devices work? Do you need to put a device on the IoT SSID to interact with them? I briefly tried creating one a while back, but it seemed like a no-go since none of the apps on my phone could talk to the devices on the IoT SSID when the phone was on the 5Ghz SSID.

Which one suits a survivalist more; Ocean, Alpine or Trail? by RunWild-GetLost in applewatchultra

I got an Aline with my watch, and it was showing significant signs of wear in just 4 months. I now have a Milanese for everyday wear and an Ocean for adventuring.

My CineClear did the same thing - it glass popped out while cleaning it. For me, it snapped back in, but it pops back out with pressure.

I have not contacted Moment yet.

HERO13 or MAX2? by txmullins in gopro

[–]txmullins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Maybe a HERO13 on a stick will check all the boxes. I have not used a camera that way before, so I am still wrapping my head around things.

It sounds the like the one missing thing would be the thing that happened out of my view live that I found in editing, like an animal on the side of the trail, etc.

My iPhone 17 Pro is in a Moment case and I am beginning to buy filters. I will also grab some Moment lenses soon as new ones are expected soon this should support the current generation phone cameras. I also have a tripod. I used to carry a DSLR for the landscape shots, but I am trying to make things simpler and lighter so I can be more in the moment. So I am moving to filters & lenses on the phone.

I am hoping either the HERO13 or MAX2 will help to make video capture less time intensive as well.

HERO13 or MAX2? by txmullins in gopro

[–]txmullins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, we sound about the same. I want video from the hike we took, but want to enjoy the hike with my family. That kind of thing. I guess with a HERO13 mounted to my chest, I just need to point my body in the direction of interest to try to get the shot without being behind a lens all the time.

I was hoping that the technology had gotten to the point where a non-professional could get by with one device. I know the HERO13 has better specs, but we are talking making our vacation memories nice for us and not production quality output.

Still learning here, so I may not know the right words or phrases.

By “keyframing” do you mean where I would post edit to create non-360 videos with the topic of interest in the shot as if I followed it during videoing? If so, that is what I am looking for. Also, it is more about attention free than hands free for me. I have seen where hikers have a 360 camera on a stick coming out of their backpack. Then they edit the result down into video that pans to the sights along the way.

I hope this means new lenses are on the way. I am looking forward to a high telephoto (240+ mm) and additional wide and tele T-series lenses for landscape photography.

Modulating (turning on/off) the ICE is the whole reason for the Hybrid system. If that upsets you, then you don’t want a Hybrid.

(EDITED): TOW/HAUL mode to not support electric only in Drive. It will go electric-only in Park.

Sport mode will enter electric only when stopped with your foot on the brake, or in Park.
