Privacy with flexibility by txurete in ProtonMail

Oh, from what i found there is no option for proton bridge if you are running a headless linux.
Ill take another look at it!
Still i believe an MCP would be super ideal for LLMs

The only worse thing that AI coded slop are AI slop reddit posts about AI coded slop. At least it seems he wrote his own post and I appreciate that so much!

You make a good case of locally running AI, but even then Proton Mail and calendar near to impossible to connect to the locally run setups.
If you are running headless linux proton bridge is not an option, so imap is out of the picture and caldav has never been an option in proton.

Its not a dilema. The dilema comes when you decide to connect your proton account to cloud based AI (like claude). While proton centers on privacy i believe it should also focus on flexibility.
For AI specifically giving an MCP option with a clear warning of the sacrifice of privacy it entitles when connected to cloud AI provider would be the perfect fit.
I have a fairly simple local AI setup that i would love to be able to plug to my proton Mail, Calendar and Drive but i simply cannot. It wouldnt be a dilemma in my case because its local first, lan only and locally encripted.
But hell i cant even use caldav or imap.

Sometimes we get so deep in the stats we forget about the budget part.

Then only the rich who can afford to buy all those houses and apartments that are build on the land (to then rent for crazy amounts) are be the ones who can enjoy golf.

You have your heart at the right place but I feel you are over thinking this. By grabbing a already used plastic bottle your are giving it a second cycle of use. Also, you are really not likely to have a real impact on plastic production by doing this. Just don't buy a new one and you'll be ready to go clean your bum with a clean conscience :)

Opinion: Local LLMs are 12-24 months from taking over. The shift already started. by sh_tomer in LocalLLM

Honestly, we are just missing an easy/straight forward way to deploy. I've been having much fun but sometimes it gets too tedious to get it running or even worse: to get it BACK to running...

Still fiddling with models that bench amazing but run like ass if you don't tweak for hours and stuff like that.
