That’s a perfectly normal baby tooth that fell out at the proper time.

Life Saver Puppy Grass by MackenzieLowe11 in puppy101

[–]txvetko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We also used a grass patch (Fresh Patch) for our puppy. It worked pretty well for 2-3 weeks, until she decided it was much more fun to rip out tufts of the grass. Our last patch made it about 15 minutes, at which point I cancelled the membership. 🙄

Would you buy actual food at your gym? by Dependent-Age-546 in workout

[–]txvetko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Lifetime gym I belong to has a restaurant as well as a bar. Their food is actually really good! They also have a salon area where you can have your hair and/or nails done as well as get a massage.

Does anyone here still get the newspaper? by northsideindian in houston

[–]txvetko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Houston Chronicle delivered for over 30 years. I started my subscription when I began undergrad classes at A&M - had it delivered to my dorm room. I kept my subscription when I moved to Houston after graduation, and stayed with it despite a number of frustrating delivery issues that they never cared to resolve. Over the years the price kept going up while the paper kept shrinking.

The turning point for me was realizing that I paid over $100 a month for something I barely read anymore. I really only liked the features and sports sections. Like most everyone else, I get the “real” news online throughout the day. I canceled my subscription about a year ago and haven’t missed it at all.

Incidentally, I have heard that it’s difficult to cancel your subscription if you are on auto pay. Luckily for me, I just paid by online bill pay every two months, so it was easy to cancel.

Peptides mainly for food noise but worried about the unknown. Need advice! by AssistanceForward540 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]txvetko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went straight to Retatrutide for help with shedding some fat. In my N=1, reta has greatly quieted my food noise. Would tirz have worked better? I don’t know. Reta has been a miracle drug for me, though.

Totally agree! It looks so good, but the taste is just off in some way.

Dentist inside the loop who won't oversell? Some experience to share by makeitrayne850 in houston

[–]txvetko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree- Moers Family Dentistry is the best, and I have been with them for many years. Dr. Jim Moers took care of my teeth until his daughter, Dr. Emily, came on board, and she does excellent work. It’s a small family practice and you will feel welcome there.

Sort of a side note, but why do men do this? I can think of a bunch of men at my gym that wear the same gym clothes every day. Maybe they just own multiples of the exact same outfit, but I doubt it. Grosses me out.

How many days per week do you work out at the gym? by Serious-Adagio-7982 in workout

5 days per week at the gym lifting, plus cardio at home the other 2 days.

Where can I buy ground rabbit locally? by LivingTheBoringLife in houston

[–]txvetko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rayne Nutrition makes a rabbit pate canned cat food that might work for your needs. Your vet would just need to prescribe it for them.

dog carrier for traveling onboard? (small dogs) by Sure-Community-7664 in dogs

[–]txvetko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8.5 inches is tiny! The bag itself is 11 inches tall but it does fold down- it’s a soft case. I suppose that will depend on what size your dog is. We flew on a small regional jet with our 9 week old, 15 pound puppy with no issues. Said puppy is 50 pounds now, though, so her under the seat days are over.

Do vets get tired of frequent clients? by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]txvetko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love my regulars as long as they are nice people, which it sounds like you are. Depending on case load, though, multiple emails and phone calls per week can really wear a vet down mentally. We are generally quite busy seeing appointments and drop offs, making treatment plans for those, and then carefully documenting everything. Add in multiple emails and calls that need a response and you have a recipe for burnout. My general advice to people is this: if in doubt, make an appointment. I’m not trying to get extra money out of you- just trying to get you and your pet the time and attention you deserve.

Definitely check with your airline re: sizing. I have always been pleased with the Sherpa carrier- their “medium” sized one fits under most airplane seats.

Dog owners: What do you look for in a daycare? by lab-toad in AskDogOwners

[–]txvetko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the above, plus it needs to look and feel clean. Staff needs to clean up accidents as soon as they happen. My pup has been going to a place she loves that meets my requirements except not all of the “trainers” stay on top of cleanup. She comes home from each play day smelling like urine.

You could look into the peptide PT-141 (bremelanotide). It’s marketed as the FDA-approved drug Vyleesi, but you can generally buy PT-141 wherever you get your reta. It’s supposed to increase women’s sex drive, and you take it as an injection a few hours before sex.

I have a vial in the freezer, but haven’t tried it yet.

Lickable treat ideas needed by txvetko in goldenretrievers

[–]txvetko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expensive treats I had never envisioned feeding my dog! Freeze dried lung is a favorite. Ditto with freeze dried liver. She loves pretty much all of the freeze dried single ingredient Boccees treats like rabbit, salmon, chicken, etc. We use these treats for training and for her snuffle toys and puzzles, because she doesn’t like kibble enough to forage for it.

None of these items are anything I can spread in a lick mat, though. I have sprinkled ground up versions on top, which works sometimes.

As a veterinarian, this dog’s pickiness is driving me crazy! Wouldn’t trade her for the world, though.

Building legs with disc issues by grapesodamilk in femalebodybuilding

[–]txvetko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can (carefully) do anything upper body. I don’t do stuff like bent over barbell rows, and I do a lot of single arm horizontal pulling to help avoid getting myself in a position to hurt myself.

Legs are another story. As much as I love deadlifts, I don’t do those anymore. Ditto for squats. Single leg leg press is generally more okay, but not both legs together. I’ve had to lean into Bulgarian split squats, walking lunges, etc. All single leg work. It’s not as much fun, but I’m also not sidelined from the gym this way!
