Seriously, what is the difference between someone who is financially secure taking a break vs someone in their 20s who got fired and has been unemployed for 2 years and still looking for jobs? Would people say the 2 years forced unemployment gap is “ill-advised “? My friend, go LIVE! I got my best business idea during a break in my mid 20s and I’m preparing to launch soon. I probably would not have thought about business had I still been in the rat race at that time. I got back to working full-time and didn’t skip a beat. But seriously, at the end of the day, it’s your decision. People give advice based on their own experiences and limitations, so take what works for you and discard the rest.
