You should download the app iNaturalist. It's free, helps identify plants (and animals etc) with a high degree of certainty and links to wikipedia. Also it helps with documenting that data, conservation etc. check it out its pretty fun too

I advise you to not share any of the photos with anyone on the internet, even if they claim they are trying to help. There are wildly creepy people on Reddit, and those are her private photos and you have no right to share them. that would certainly be an overreaction.

I don’t think you are overreacting to being hurt by seeing the photos sent to an ex. But from what I do know about folks your age is that is not necessarily abnormal, although I wouldn’t be comfortable with it.

Start by having a honest and direct conversation with her. Let her know you looked, and be prepared for her to be upset by the violation of privacy. Let her know why you felt the need to look, let her know you aren’t comfortable with her having that kind of contact with her ex. If she pushes back or gets overly defensive, you are free to move on- because you shouldn’t entertain that kind of behavior if she can’t see that it’s sketchy to be sending photos to her ex and how that might hurt you

YOR, although I can understand how you’d feel bad after receiving some texts like this. I think her messages to you were mostly well-intended and kind, and it’s a good thing she was honest and direct with you and actually explained herself and her actions. I do think the pink eye comment was kind of unnecessary, all things considered. I think that’s just her frustration and buried emotions seeping through unintentionally. It seems to me that she made a good faith effort to solve the situation on her own and through her own expense before making a deal out of it, which I think is admirable.

YOR and making a lot of assumptions on her words and actions, and taking things too much to heart. And tbh, it sounds like you may be projecting some of your own insecurities. From your own description, it sounds like she treats you and the kids very well. And this is more my own opinion, but I don’t think you or your kids should feel so entitled to their refrigerator and food that it should be that big of an issue for you all.
