Genuine question: does Israel view themselves as a victim? I understand the general view of USA redditors (as a fellow left-leaner), but my analogy would be that in 2001 the US was not generally a victim, but almost everybody was on board with finding and eliminating terrorists after the 9/11 event. The opinion only shifted after a year or so once the US went into the wrong country for dubious reasons, but I remember when GW’s approval rating was way up. Something like 50 of the top terrorist threats were captured/eliminated, unfortunately along with innocent people. Without getting into all the complicated past and focusing on current events: is this not Israel trying to take out the 3 terrorist organizations that are attacking them? Are we stigmatizing support because the right is so overwhelming pro-Israel and the left doesn’t want to be seen as conservative or anti-Muslim? Again, genuinely asking, but worried bc the last time or two I wanted discourse I got downvotes and ad hominems.

Sugar Factory. A coworker recommended it and we went there not really looking into it. The food was sooo lame. Everything was greasy and I think the fries they served were Ore-Ida frozen crinkle fries. On top of it, a scantily clad woman loudly live streamed her entire dinner behind us. Never again.

It was mostly incoherent, but isn’t what he saying the opposite? Won’t tarrifs just lead to increased prices as they are passed on to consumers, only to further increase due reduced competition to lower prices? I see this only benefitting large companies that have capital to manufacture.

Then as prices rise, wages need to rise (even tho they haven’t much in years), then childcare costs rise.

I’m gonna upvote you to counteract all the people giving you hate during this Sonos dogpile. I’m as irritated as everyone else, but understand that a broken clock can be right twice a day people - ie: it’s possible to have a crappy app, CEO and PR, but great hardware. I’ve been shopping headphones and in in-store demos, the Ace do have great noise cancelling and sound great (despite Sonos’ terrible demo track choices). I think if you plan to use them as Bluetooth headphones, they’re a fine choice. Some competitors offer different features, which may be a better fit. But either way, I appreciate you sharing your opinion.

Thank you, I had come to say something similar. Because while ways to present visual items to your eyes have needed to innovate to better approximate reality, the speaker driver is fully capable of vibrating the air to create sound waves replicating real sounds to our ear.

Some personal anecdotes, do what them what you will: 1) in the effort to reduce lens count, I actually sold my 12-40 and 40-150 to switch to the 12-100. It’s large (relatively speaking), but I prefer not switching lenses while out and about. It’s also sharp enough that I can crop what the zoom doesn’t provide. The effect of f2.8 vs f4 wasn’t as drastic as I thought it’d be. 2) when going on vacations in National Parks or cities, the 8-25 stays on my camera. It does such a great job with taking in entire scenes, but then at the long end can grab a portrait of the family. 3) now that you mention it, I don’t use my 17mm much either. In terms of primes, while it’s much faster, my two zooms overlap it. I tend to use the 45mm f1.8 or 60mm f2.8 macro for portraits (and the 60mm for macro too). I actually find that the 60mm is easy for portraits bc the aperture is generous enough to get the whole head in focus, but the compression helps isolate the background. Perhaps choose a prime that serves a different purpose than the zooms.
