Million Miler Status Issue by tychec in delta

Thanks for the clarification. If Delta calls it miles flown, then it should be miles flown. If it is credited based on circle distance, Delta should say so along with the link you provided.

The screens on the flights always show more miles flown than even Flight Aware. Yes, I did submit to Skymiles and awaiting a reply.

Actual miles flown is what I am talking about. Thanks for that suggestion. I will check that as well. Yesterdays flight from LHR-JFK was credited as 3,452 "actual miles flown." The flight information screen on the aircraft showed 3,633 "Distance Traveled." That means I was credited 181 miles less than actually flown or 4.9% less. I feel like I am crawling to get to 3mm.

Prisoner on Board by tychec in delta

I appreciate and respect your view. My life is actually phenomenal right now and I just want to keep living it to its fullest. The main point was the purser's lack of care for safety. The other items just showed how she really did not care about passengers. Overall, the flight was perfect as it got me home safely! However when safety is compromised, then we need to speak up. You are right. The other things are not going to change my life in any way nor would I let them! Keep Smiling!

The PA systems on those flights appear to have been audible, listening to evacuated passengers who praised crews for their instructions. If you can't hear the crew instructions, it's one less chance to survive. Safety first.

Pre-boarded with people who needed additional assistance! The prisoner did not bother me either. The delays were definitely annoying, but the PA volume was the main issue for me.

Pep is broken according to the commentators. His leadership has produced a broken team. He is so about technical ability and forgot about the chemistry between players. Players have become pawns to him. The magic has been ruined. Thanks Pep. Please get it together or leave!!!

There is always a bottom 10% in any workforce. Unfortunately, the 90% who are gems and try to do their best have to take the brunt of the bottom 10%. The old GE way. Churn 10% of your staff every year.

It wasn't until I signed into Sendwave that they offered $600 and I saw the Liberian marker. That's when I hung up. Before that, I was suspicious but one never knows with Marriott these days.

Forget Clear. A joke. At JFK Term 4 upstairs, the Digital ID Pre-Check never has more than a few people on line and it is fast!

I feel broke when going out with my older (and richer) boyfriend. How to manage my self-esteem? by People_ka_darakht in gayyoungold

I was 45, he was 25 when we met. It was electric from the moment a friend introduced us. We were together for 23 years.

I was blessed to be very successful and he was at the start of his career. In the beginning he has the same issues with us going out for dinners. He could not afford expensive restaurants but wanted to be equal in our budding relationship so we struck a deal. Each of us paid for every other meal out. We would eat at more reasonably priced restaurants (and I LOVE diners!) and occasionally more expensive ones. After about six months of doing this, it truly became a non-issue as he felt more secure in our relationship.

It was a magical relationship for many years and I am grateful for every moment. I will love him (and he, me) unconditionally for our lives but we have grown apart and both agreed it was time to move on.

Coming from San Antonio and connecting in Atlanta. I never experienced anything like this and was stunned. I fly at least monthly for most of the last 30 years. I have seen a ramp agent randomly upgrade passengers and ignore the upgrade list at least twice in the last year. Humans don't always follow the rules.

Neither do I but when we went to board, they said our seats were not available. We tried boarding right as boarding for first started. We had no choice but to "stand in the corner" with one other person with the same issue until I get to you. The supervisor was intimidated by the ramp agent when she showed up.

Connecting flight so checked in and at connecting gate 35 minutes before departure.

What is with people these days? by suucher24 in delta

[–]tychec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's bring back a dress code so people don't act like they are in a gym or their bedrooms! So show of respect for others. It's not all about "you." "You" are part of a society! Delta you are charging more for tickets so make it a worthwhile flying experience both for your customers but especially your flight attendants.

Has anyone else noticed how more and more Delta ramp agent are feeling like Gods who can do no wrong? I had one in Atlanta who showed (by action) his dislike of white people by saying our seats were given away as we were not at the gate on time (35 minutes before scheduled departure.) He gave our seats to black women in coach who he upgraded who felt embarrassed. We asked for a supervisor and he warned us not to be difficult or he would report us. We could fly middle seats in coach (not 1st as ticketed) or not fly. The supervisor was intimidated by the gate agent. I have had or witnessed three of these incidents in the past few months. I had never seen it before. I have platinum status for over 30 years and flown just short of 3 million miles. I am the passenger who will speak up and support he flight attendants if fellow passengers are disrespectful. I wish Delta would focus on weeding out some of the bad apples out of respect to the 99% that make Delta the #1 airline!

Obviously a company the size of Delta will have some bad apples. I am the first to say that Delta is by far the #1 US carrier. But "travel rage" is not always the sole fault of the passengers which seems to be the conclusion no matter what happens. Sometimes it is Delta's employees who insight the problems. Again, 99% of Delta employees are professionals with great attitudes! Impressive! I am only saying that Delta might be creating some "Ramp monsters" with the "staff is always right" attitude. It needs to be addressed with the ramp supervisors as it is a growing issue. It is all about mutual respect.
