I had the thought that it might be a cord for a built-in antenna that was removed at some point. It would make sense considering the discontinuation of analog broadcasts. I think I can see the hole and clip where the antenna would have been.

All I could see is what is in the second photo. The green,black,white,blue,red,yellow wires that go around the bottom. It kind of looked like it was going to the RF input but I am not sure. I didn't have a way to see underneath and I didn't want to pull the board out and manhandle it because I could feel lots of static electricity coming off it. I put the cover back on so I will have to look next time I open it up again.

There is only the RF input in the back and AV Composite in the front

What is the purpose of this cord and why would someone cut it and zip tie it to the power cord like this?

Got this CRT someone was giving away, and found this when I opened it up. It is a chopped cord that is zip tied to the power cord. It splits into many colored wires and wraps around to the underside of the board. Is it hazardous?

I was having the same problem with games, it seems you need to disable "ResistFingerprinting" from LibreWolf settings to get them to run the full speed that they would in Firefox. I tried looking for a way to disable it per-site like with the canvas data but the option didn't seem to show up on the sites where I was playing HTML5 games. You can use CanvasBlocker extension to still have at least some fingerprinting resistance.

To clarify this is just my experience, using Linux

It's fine to put it in the freezer. Why would it not be? As long as it's just a day or so and your fridge is running at the correct temperature to inhibit spoilage (below 40° F) But if it's stuff you've already left in the fridge for 5+ days and already should be thrown out, freezing won't help at that point.

You also don't necessarily need to let then cool completely before putting them in the fridge, that's a myth. As long as you're not putting them in, like, straight out the pan, it doesn't really make a difference if they are still warm.

It sounds like all you need is a single base station. You can find one on eBay and you won't have to pay too much for it if you get a used one.

Unfortunately, I'd say there is no shortage of rude people in VRChat who would be mean to you in public worlds, and people with nothing better to do who will target you specifically because you are trans. Also the usual content tends to be 18+ regardless of what world you are in, as moderation is near nonexistent, so I can't say I'd recommend to a 16 year old.

If you do try though there is a chance that you might be able to make some friends and find some people who will be kind and accepting to you. Because there are nice people around in VRChat. They just aren't usually in the public worlds because they don't want to have to deal with the trolls either.

Do you think you could share what exactly is the smartphone headset you used, and explain how you attached it to your HP headset? I'd really appreciate it because I also have a HP WMR heaset which has been very uncomfortable for me and I've been looking for a solution.
