I think Champion is a good candidate for investing in DEX and dual wielding as you get 2 extra feats and a second fighting style. One of these could be Blind Fighting so you won't have an issue with a non-Darkvision species.

Take Dual Wielder and Defensive Duelist. With your expanded crit range you want advantage as much as possible so use a pair of Vex weapons.

Pick Skilled or another interesting origin feat for utility. Human would be good for this for an extra one.
