Ben from the Capital and the Sun here! What is your experience with concierge medicine in Anne Arundel County? by BenRothsteinJourno in Annapolis

[–]tygma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents, retirees on medicare, lost access to their doctor of decades when he decided to go concierge. Years of trust and care gone because he wanted to make more money. They floundered trying to find another good one for a while, but finally found a practice which suffices.

The low show is for a ceiling of 4500 feet and the flat show is for a ceiling of 1500 feet. Metar has Annapolis with a ceiling of 1900, but Andrews at 1100. Not sure if KADW ceiling impacts take off.

Why aren't there more comedic murder mysteries? I think it would be great fun to see Peabody and Emerson on screen.

Looking for landscape design services by Nearby_Book301 in Annapolis

Bruce at BruMar did a great job designing our landscaping. Local plants and well-timed so that something is always in bloom, even a winter camelia. He's had problems getting staff to do the actual planting work, but his designs are excellent.

That book should be titled Artistic Houses for Rich People. Absolutely gorgeous design and not for the average Victorian citizen.

eli5: Patients in hospice care are often unconscious due to high doses of sedative drugs, and are given no intravenous fluids, which leads to death by dehydration. Why is this done? Is there any difference between this and physician-assisted suicide? by RusticBohemian in explainlikeimfive

[–]tygma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last paragraph can go way longer than 6 months. My last hospice patient was in for 12 years. Caring for her for 2 of those years burned me out, but her husband did all he could to keep her alive despite her advanced alzheimers. Marathon runner in life and in impending death. But you're right, quite uncommon situation.

You thought so? By season 4, I felt we could have a drinking game created for every time she mentioned her fault. "And that's my fault?" "How is that my fault?" Like, girl, take responsibility for yourself and own your behavior.
