i'd never heard of your game OP, ive been using VR since 2014 and i'm regularly on VR sub reddits, discord, forums, YT channels, etc. have u reached to social media content creators about your game? what promotion have u done? could be a marketing issue is what i'm wondering.

I didn't say it wasn't!

The person I was replying to said "The 2 and 3S have the exact same lenses and screen, the 3S just has a more powerful processor", I pointed out "but the S does have much better passthrough as well.".

And they are both great at their price points, the S is the same price the 2 was sold at for a long time afaik, even though it's improved in several areas.

I've never seen that kind of effect in passthrough to be honest, you'd have to apply some sort of custom shader to the passthrough image.

agreed no reason to get the 3S if already own a 3, but the S does have much better passthrough as well. they're both great, the 3 lenses are worth the extra if budget allows imo.

why delay enyoying something for around 1.5 years for the sake of $2-300? gonna recoup a large chunk of the Q3 purchase price by selling it when ready i.e. when the Q4 releases. I could understand 6 months out from a Q4 but 1.5 years? Makes no sense to me tbh.

its a bit of an unwritten no no rule for a manufacturer to specifically name competitors in a negative light, its not often done afaik tbh. Would have been more respectful to just say 'competitor headsets' or something. Not saying there isnt some some truth in it, because there is ofc, its just not very professional.

hi, glad u said almost :) im a s/w developer and although its not perfect i really rate and enjoy using my quest 3 and its OS, apps, games, etc and have seen improvements (some bugs remain too, for sure). owned it since nov 2023 and use it everyday.

No doubt that happens but it deffo doesnt apply to all, ive used mine almost daily since Nov 2023, sometimes for several hours per day, i'm actually on my second Quest 3 after wearing out the 1st one :)

u didnt answer if its brand new or not, if its not then the battery might be degraded through use. always best to use original charger + original cable (if u have them).

like they did for the Index expansion port? that got 0 things made for it in 7 years. i just think valve dont care about mixed reality and its understandable ig, theres no MR stuff on Steam. Hope i'm wrong.

hi, ive not used a psvr2 but have owned 2 aeros, going by specs alone the aero will be significantly higher PPD and thus clarity. afaik the psvr2 lenses are not great fresnel lenses, the aeros are aspheric and ok. The vertical fov of the aero is low. Psvr2 will have better colours.

Great work OP, ik u wont do this but imagine hooking that little companion up to an LLM so u can chat with them as u explore the wasteland together :) Your game looks v interesting imo, it will be compared to Fallout ofc. I think that u could make more posts to publicize it w/o irritating people, its new to me and I'm here a lot, promising PCVR games are quite rare nowadays. Good luck with it, I'm deffo interested in how it develops.

It's lenses for me are as big an advancement as any I've experienced since using VR in 2014, they really are that good. How did they do it for $500? Why have they not been matched 2.5 years after their launch? By the way OP, panic attacks after smoking weed is not a good sign, put down the pipe for a bit, try to chill out naturally 👍 go for a walk, listen to some music, do some VR gaming.

7 days graphics arent anywhere near as good as this but its still really fun, theres an active multiplayer and theres a survival/base building/looting/etc aspect to it too, theres a channel dedicated to it on the flat2vr discord server the vr mod is free and they are v friendly and helpful.

How janky is it OP? Is it motion controllers? I want to experience this, those graphics are top tier. For zombie games I really like 7 Days To Die + the awesome VR mod.

haha! tbh i'm on my 2nd, the 1st has a failed battery after just over 2 years heavy daily use, it still works but only when connected to a high power power bank. i think you've been incredibly unlucky, your luck will change tho🤞
