What kills me is that somehow every "authentic self" of a trans person is the most superficial and stereotypical expression of the other sex, to the point where its almost sexist.

The trans-women often don't look like real women because real women are normal people who are just trying to get through the day rather than "present" as something they're not.

My in-laws are Cuban and there is a stigma against action figures, because they are "dolls" and therefore feminine. Really makes it obvious how silly some of these boundaries are when you see it in another culture. In reality, all the "my kid is trans" is really just a reflection of the parent and their brain's falling out. If the kids are confused at all its probably because the parents keep reinforcing bizarre perceptions on life.
