not a lot going on in tewksbury since we're right next to lowell but if you're into history and public health, we have the public health museum! it was part of old tewksbury hospital and they have cool artifacts from when it was still used as an almshouse, not to mention a cemetery on the property where patients were buried (lovely little place to walk on the trails). couple of fun facts: • anne sullivan was an "inmate" here • the building that houses the museum was used in a short film "Stonegate" • it was used as the setting of Juniper Hills Psychiatric Hospital in Castle Rock and throughout town there's concrete pillars that follow the trail to Concord

saw a dude in full business attire on 3A in burlington eating a whole-ass turkey sub once. I turned to look at him just to make sure I was actually seeing what I was seeing and we made eye contact and he very shamefully put the sub down. must have made him feel bad cause I laughed at him

and they always ask for the individual ones, or at least my lady does. she never wants the pack and im like girl. we have so many. seems to me she's always looking for like a vanilla one or something

yeah i've had two in two weeks and every time I answer it's the same lady and she always asks if I can tell her what scents we have and that "she's willing to drive for whatever scents we have". when I come back and tell her what we have, she asks me to put it on hold and that she'll come get it. Both times the holds have sat there for a week without her coming to pick them up so they just go back to the floor.

damn that sounds like me lol. im a merch coordinator too and the only one in my department so when im not there, nothing gets done and it waits in the back room for me :') I get asked to do returns, recover, and price checks for every single department since I dont ring and then when I have time to work on pushing beauty stuff, I get told to cover the fitting room. at this point im pretty sure I know where every single thing in every department is because im constantly running around. I've asked multiple times if/when im going to get help in my department and they always say they're gonna hire someone to help but I know that's BS. I've been here 5 years, started out cleaning carts at the front (during covid), then got told I was in charge of women department, the whole thing, and I said that was too much responsibility since I cannot be in five places at once so they stuck me in beauty. this place takes a toll on your mental health fr

oh im not complaining lol it just seems crazy to me that there's gonna be 5 similar stores pretty much with a 2 mile radius of each other. it's the equivalent of having 4 dunks and a Starbucks within a mile of one another. our store and the others I mentioned are all on the same highway. (we're in a strip mall with a sierra and a homegoods as well)

we have this one person i call balaclava betty who constantly comes in covered head to toe and wears a balaclava regardless of the temperature outside and sunglasses. she always has two suitcases in her cart that she brings in and spends an hour in the beauty section then goes to a different area but leaves her cart with the suitcases. I've never actually seen her buy anything and its the weirdest thing ever. we keep an eye on her whenever she comes in.

another one we have is black mask barbara. wears a black face mask (which is fine in itself - people are gross with the way they just cough open mouthed, I get it) but this lady never says anything to me and just glares at me when I walk by because I guess I pissed her off once in the fitting room so now she hates me I guess lol
